I've been driving my 2007 Yukon XL for four days now. I haven't hit 200 miles yet, and have no complaints. I have one curiosity about the Nav system though. I notice that the Nav DVD always seems to be spinning, even when the truck has been off for a long time. I've heard it when getting into the truck the last three mornings after it's been sitting in the garage all night. Has anybody else noticed this?

But it fit really nicely into a small groove you'll discover when you get the gold one off. The bowtie on the tailgate is just taped on. No nuts to contend with. But there are two small posts that snug into two small holes. Now here's my question for you. Did you find a chrome bowtie for the rear, 'cause I'm still looking...?

Here's what it says: "It is normal operation after the RKE (remote) is used to unlock the vehicle or the driver's door is opened. This noise will also be heard during normal vehicle use. The noise is also normal operation for up to three minutes after the vehicle is turned off and the driver's door has been opened and closed." Don't know if this really explains it. I'll have to try checking on it some morning by opening up the passenger's side door. Who knows...? Dett LTZ |

As sj110 said, it is a solid mat with cupped edges that slides over the guides for the third row. It is true that the third row seats need to be removed to use the mat, but I seldom use the third row and far more often I am hauling something in the back. The solid mat doesn't allow debri, liquid etc. to escape. Since this my first Yukon (after 14 years with Toyotas), I couldn't tell you if it is similar to the cargo mats from the past. I just think it works great and keeps the rest of the cabin clean. Norm

" They make one with the cutout as well if you do want to leave the seats in. I have it and it works great. |
