Nope. Found from my independent lease co. that I would be rolling about $2800 into the lease from my trade-in, so that kills me, and I'll just wait until the lease is up next July (and probably drool over every XC 90 I see). thought I had enough value to trade in. That is a good payment quote you received.

I am looking at a new 2007 XC90 Sport and it would be greatly appreciated if someone could let me know the current lease rates (money factor and residual). I would want the values for a 36 month lease with 15,000 miles a year. Thank you.

Just picked up 2008 XC90 3.2 AWD with premium, climate, versatility - 2 year lease program with 12,000/year - $499/mo before tax. Sales price was ~ $40,335. Edmund's dealer cost is coming in at $41,908.

elansp, where are you located? That seems like a pretty good lease & I was wondering how close you might be to my location in North Carolina. Thanks.

Sorry, I'm in NJ....within a 15 mile radius I know of approximately 4 Volvo dealerships.

elansp - which dealer did you buy from? I'm talking with Kundert, Smythe and a couple more.

I ended up going with Kundert. First stop was Ramsey and was ready to pull the trigger (salesman was excellent and followed up frequently) but I ended up calling Kundert and told salesman over the phone simply that I was an X plan member and I wanted the best possible price - he supposedly came in below the x-plan price. I'm signing papers and picking it up tomorrow...we'll see if anything changes.

Elansp - you have the exact config I am looking for. XC90, 3.2, premium pkg etc. 499/month for 2 yr lease is attractive. Did you pay any $ upfront?

I am being quoted 521 a month for a 3 yr lease, 12K miles, 0 down. I can buy the car at the end of the 3 yrs for ~18K.

leasing a used XC90 by peetert

I asked a more generic version of this question in the Smart Shopper forum, but since we are looking at XC90's I thought I'd ask it more specifically here.

We are looking to purchase/lease/whatever an XC90 as a replacement for our aging minivan. This will be our 4th Volvo (an old DL, 740gl and my current '99 S70). Both the 740 and my S70 were off lease cars purchased from the same dealer where we plan to look for our used XC90.

I'm leaning towards the lease since I'm not sure we want to keep this as long as we have our previous cars and want to keep monthly payments as low as possible.

Does Volvo (or any 3rd party) do this? If so, what are the rates? I'm thinking of a 2 yr lease with 12K to 15K miles per year (we've been avg just under 13 on the minivan we have).

Thanks,

Peeter

Frankly, you are better off leasing a new one.
The 24 mo VFNA lease on the 2008's can't be beat right now.
Rates and residuals on used car leases are MUCH worse than new car programs.
