| I live in San Diego, CA. Can anyone tell me what a good deal is on a XC90 V6 FWD with DVD player (2 screens), 3rd row seats, and navigation? I don't know the packages I want but would like it very nicely loaded. I've read it's best to put the minimum down payment. The current special in my area is $399 per month, 10,000 miles, with around $3,000 down for the V6 base model. Could I negotiate lower than that? | |

i may be signing a lease this weekend but i'm not sure if i'm getting the best rate. i have asked the salesperson to fax me to agreement prior to meeting with him so i can review at home. I have requested XC90 3.2 6cfwd basic white entertainment package premium package with the lease option of 10,000 miles, 36 months and $3k down at signing. I am being quoted $591/mo. I was told w/o premium package it would be $471/mo but also told it was almost impossible to find a 5 seater with rear entertainment w/o leather. I have now agreed to leather and told that it may take a month to find a 5 seater with premium and entertainment package b/c most are built for 7 seaters. He then told my husband that the only thing on the lot was the 5 seater with all of the packages resulting in a large increase of my payment. My husband almost agreed to it. Of course he said I had to lock in my rate before the end of the month b/c he could not guarantee the quoted prices after then but I also realize that he would like to secure his commissions prior to then too. Can you please tell me if this all sounds good or not. I need to move forward this weekend. Is it really this hard? Why do the advertisments make it look so easY? I am shopping from jackson, miss

I've beem quoted $399 per month plus tax, 2 year lease, 10,500 miles, with a downpayment of $4228 on a 2007 XC90 V6 with premium and versatility package. MSRP is around $42,000. Does anyone know if this is a good deal? I haven't negotiated with the dealer yet. Would like to know if anyone has got any cheaper than this so I have an idea of how much to negotiated off. I live in San Diego, California.

Just got back from the Volvo dealer in Northern California, here's the deal: - 3.2, AWD, Premium, Versatility, Climate, Metallic Paint MSRP: $45,075 Initial Cap Cost: $41,934 Residual: 65% or $29,298.75 15k mi/year, 24 months Zero Cap Cost Reduction Zero Security Deposit (Returning Volvo Customer, currently have XC70 coming off-lease in several days) Money Factor: .00087 Monthly Use Tax in California: 8.25% Base Monthly Payment: $588.44 Monthly Use Tax: $48.55 Total Monthly Payment: $636.99 Acquisition Fee: $595 License Fee: $328 Calif Tire Fee: $8.75 Total Drive-Off: $1,568.74 Have the following Q's: 1) According to Edmunds, I came up with MSRP and Invoice of $45,097 and $41,828 respectively. Not sure how to reconcile with the dealer's numbers, since his implied invoice would be $41,534 (Init Cap Cost - $500). Any explanation for the difference? 2) What incentives are available for leases under VFNA? The dealer told me this Init Cap Cost is $500 over invoice, and when I raised the $2000 marketing support from Volvo he said that wasnt up for discussion. Is this true, or can this incentive be shared with customers? 3) Also, are $1000 Loyalty cash back to Customer and $400 Loyalty Volvo finance cash rebate available for leases? Again, he told me this money wasn't available under current lease program, sounds fishy to me. 4) Are there better deals available for this car in California? $637/mo seems pretty high, especially given the deals I've seen on this board from 4Q06. What terms can I improve on? MF and RVs look reasonable, cap cost appears to be the most obvious one, but he wouldnt move on that today, insisted it was really just $500 over for him and that factory incentives didnt apply to this car. Will be checking around tomorrow and with your help hopefully closing this deal. Thanks!

Replying to: wcdaddy (Feb 26, 2007 10:01 pm) The Volvo money you are referring to cannot be used w/ a VFNA lease. You might be able to do better if took the incentives and went 36 or 48 mos w/ a bank lease. However, the dealer is giving you an excellent deal on the 24 mo program.

Replying to: volvomax (Feb 27, 2007 8:29 am) What total incentives are available for this car to use with an outside bank for lease? What bank lease terms are you seeing available for this car in Northern Calif? |

Replying to: wcdaddy (Feb 27, 2007 9:41 am) The $3000 you are referring to can be used on a bank lease. Money factors vary by credit score, the range is from .00220 to .00330 for the most part. |

Replying to: volvomax (Feb 27, 2007 9:44 am) 1) $4500 Alternative Lease Assistance 2) $1000 Loyalty 3) $2250 Marketing Support Yesterday the dealer said the total incentives were $9000 for the XC70 and $7750 for the XC90, which is consistent with the numbers I've seen here.
