I am in process of leasing XC90 with the following details:
09 FWD
Premium
Versatility
Garmin Nav (port installed)
RSE
Park Assist
Bluetooth
15K
48 months

$1035 drive off , $590 including TAX (CA)

I believe the Cap Value was around $32000 and residual around 12K!

but on the other hand since it is the end of the month the dealer is having hard time to get the invoice from Port to bill the car hence the deal in June with the new program might be different?
Anyone know what the program and residuals will be in June. I know they are throwing the 5 year maintanence program including the wipers and breaks (which is huge) but the lease side of it might be quite bad??? Any ideas

Hello again CAR_MAN and KYFDX!!!

I am really glad you are still here!

(By the way, I did buy my S80 off lease and really love it, very happy with it. Thanks for the advice back then!)

I am replacing a 2000 Suburban(98K miles!) with a Volvo XC90 with Climate, premium, versatility and AWD. I may lease, finance or buy outright, depending on the best deal. I can use the COSTCO buyers Program (750 under invoice), and then deduct 1500 Volvo Loyalty and 500 Volvo rebate to lower the price further.

The first numbers I've been given are:
$40,530 MSRP
 $35,378 purchase or
36 mo.
12K
$15,736 RV -(I was told it was a 37% residual Value but that doesn't foot)
$2000 down.(Which I won't do)

What numbers do you have for current VOLVO XC90 leases? What do you think of this deal offer?
THANK YOU AGAIN- This is too tricky to do without advice from experts.

Car_Man and KYFDX-
Can you help me decipher this? Dealer now says the "Lease Purchase Price" is #31,128 (Cap cost $35,378 less $4,250 Alternative Lease Assistance Program).

All other # are:
MSRP 40,350
36 m
12K miles
rv =.39 or $15,736
MF=.00230 or 5.52%
$567.45/month (which includes$32.12 tax) In addition there is
$2,000 in upfront fees(plates, reg, dealer process, bank process and first month)

My question are
1) Do I save money by leasing THEN buy out the lease after 2-3 months in order to get the Alternative Lease Assistance purchase price. I am confused as to how to calculate that. and
2) What do you think of the proposed lease deal?

THANKS THANKS!!!!!!

Hi my328i. Volvo Finance's current buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36 month lease of a 2009 XC90 V8 AWD with 15,000 miles per year are .00200 and 41%, respectively.

You may find that you are better off leasing this vehicle through an independent bank and taking advantage of the special $7,000 cash incentive that is available on leases of it through banks other than Volvo Finance.

Welcome back s60leaser. Volvo's current lease program for the XC90 3.2 is pretty bad. If you really want to lease one, you will likely be better off doing so through an independent bank. Volvo is currently providing a special cash incentive of $3,250 on XC90 3.2 5 Passenger and $4,250 on XC90 3.2 7 Passenger models that are leased through any bank other than Volvo Finance.

If I was in the market for an XC90 right now, I personally would shoot for a selling price of a couple hundred dollars over dealer invoice (you can look that number up right here) minus the available cash incentives.

Thanks to the help of this forum, I negotiated the following deal in Aug. 2007:

2008 Volvo XC90
-Premium Pkg
-Climate Pkg
-Versatility Pkg
-Metallic Paint
MSRP $43,350
Cap Cost $38,226
Residual $26,443

24 month lease with 15k miles per year
$500/month.
$821.36 total due at signing which was inclusive of SC sales tax of $300

Well 24 months has come and gone and now it's time to decide if I should buy the car or not. My question is this, can I negotiate with Volvo Finance on the payoff amount ($26443)? So far, they have indicated that they will not negotiate. If not, would I be better off trying to buy a used XC90 from scratch? My wife loves the car, but after reading recent posts, I can't help but feel like I can get a better deal on an 08 XC90 similarly equipped. Oh, and I'm under the miles so that doesn't factor in. Thanks for any thoughts/suggestions!

Hey mel10021. Here's the info that you're looking for. Volvo Finance's current buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36 month lease of a 2009 XC90 3.2 AWD 7 Passenger with 10,000 miles per year are .00301 and 45%, respectively.

You probably will be better off leasing this truck through an independent bank and taking advantage of the special $4,250 cash incentive for leases of it through any bank other than Volvo Finance.
