I just turned in my Wife's 2007 XC90. Lease was up in July. Please let me know if I got a good deal. I thought it was as I already took delivery of vehicle. Just looking for some Validation. Northern California Lease: Dealer made final payment on old lease. 2009 XC90 3.2 36 mos. 12K miles All Wheel Drive Climate Package Metallic Paint Versatility Package Premium Package Bluetooth Ipod/USB Adapter Kit. Installed by Dealer as they did not have a 2009 produced after Mid Nov. 2008 that now has this standard. Money factor - Unknown. can't find it on Paperwork. Am I able to calculate this. Residual - Unknown. If my calculation is right it's around 44% (I took residual value of 17382.30 and divided by cost of vehicle, 31000) Total out of pocket up front $1415 ($300 cap reduction, sales tax on cap reduction of 26.28, 1st month's payment, DMV reg fee of 445.00 dmv electronic filing fee of 82.75 and some upfront sales tax fee of 3.94) $511.92/mon $44.79 CA Tax $556.71/mo. Total. Based on all the research I did on this forum, I think I got a good deal with all things considered. The lease on the 2007 XC90 I turned in was 499.00 a month plus tax, The only downside is I didn't have any drive off when I took delivery of it. The cars are identical. Just shows you how bad things the residuals have become. |

Replying to: fazcar (May 28, 2009 6:44 am) 09 FWD Premium Versatility Garmin Nav (port installed) RSE Park Assist Bluetooth 15K 48 months $1035 drive off , $590 including TAX (CA) I believe the Cap Value was around $32000 and residual around 12K! but on the other hand since it is the end of the month the dealer is having hard time to get the invoice from Port to bill the car hence the deal in June with the new program might be different? Anyone know what the program and residuals will be in June. I know they are throwing the 5 year maintanence program including the wipers and breaks (which is huge) but the lease side of it might be quite bad??? Any ideas

Hello again CAR_MAN and KYFDX!!! I am really glad you are still here! (By the way, I did buy my S80 off lease and really love it, very happy with it. Thanks for the advice back then!) I am replacing a 2000 Suburban(98K miles!) with a Volvo XC90 with Climate, premium, versatility and AWD. I may lease, finance or buy outright, depending on the best deal. I can use the COSTCO buyers Program (750 under invoice), and then deduct 1500 Volvo Loyalty and 500 Volvo rebate to lower the price further. The first numbers I've been given are: $40,530 MSRP $35,378 purchase or 36 mo. 12K $15,736 RV -(I was told it was a 37% residual Value but that doesn't foot) $2000 down.(Which I won't do) What numbers do you have for current VOLVO XC90 leases? What do you think of this deal offer? THANK YOU AGAIN-

Car_Man and KYFDX- Can you help me decipher this? Dealer now says the "Lease Purchase Price" is #31,128 (Cap cost $35,378 less $4,250 Alternative Lease Assistance Program). All other # are: MSRP 40,350 36 m 12K miles rv =.39 or $15,736 MF=.00230 or 5.52% $567.45/month (which includes$32.12 tax) In addition there is $2,000 in upfront fees(plates, reg, dealer process, bank process and first month) My question are 1) Do I save money by leasing THEN buy out the lease after 2-3 months in order to get the Alternative Lease Assistance purchase price. I am confused as to how to calculate that. and 2) What do you think of the proposed lease deal? THANKS THANKS!!!!!! |

Car_Man: Do you have current #'s for a XC90 3.2, 10k / year ? Im not sure what the programs are now ( 24k, 36, etc). Thanks

Replying to: my328i (May 11, 2009 6:31 pm) You may find that you are better off leasing this vehicle through an independent bank and taking advantage of the special $7,000 cash incentive that is available on leases of it through banks other than Volvo Finance. Replying to: s60leaser (Jun 05, 2009 4:38 pm) If I was in the market for an XC90 right now, I personally would shoot for a selling price of a couple hundred dollars over dealer invoice (you can look that number up right here) minus the available cash incentives.
