Good deal on V6 Tech package?? by jsw24

Hi guys and gals, I've been reading the post here and therefore it's allowed me to negotiate like a pro I'm in the market for the 08 V6 with tech package(navi, cam, aux port, etc..) and have been dealing with 5 SoCal dealers. Which has lead me to my current quote of...

MSRP-$43,350
CAPCOST-39,350(Includes destination fee,and all drive off fees except DMV)

Monthly payment tax included- 12kmi- $543 at 15kmi-$561

Now my only gripe is the lack of bi-xenon headlamps. Which are included in the lux package. I will call them today and mention it as a deal breaker if he cant work that into this current quote without much changing. Simply because I have another deal in the works for a MDX with tech package. Heres the deal on that one:

MSRP:$43,695
Capcost: 39,750(includes destination)
drive off-$1015.77(doc fee, first month, etc..)
monthlypayments tax included: 12kmi- $601 15kmi-$626

Which one would you guys go for?? Thats part of the delimma!

I don't know a lot about the Touareg, but I do hear sad stories here and there about reliability. It is a great-looking vehicle, though, and never fails to catch my eye on the rare occasion that one crosses my path. As a matter of fact, when it first came out I marched right down to the dealer to check one out in person as soon as they had one, and I wasn't even in the market for a new vehicle -- I just had to check it out!

I own a 2006 MDX Touring w/Nav & Res, have about 28K on it, and have had NO problems with it whatsoever. I have taken it in for an oil change at 7500mi, a 15K service, then another oil change at 22,500. I'll be taking it in for the 30K service soon, but don't anticipate any problems.

The vehicle drives like a dream, the quality is excellent, and for an SUV, I think it is even quite fun to drive. Also, I find that Acura includes features that other makes have as options or even accessories (which don't get residualized in a lease and drives up your overall cost -- paying for accessories really hurts your wallet because you pay 100% of your accessory and you don't even get to keep it, whereas with the vehicle you are only paying for a portion). I know when I begin suv-shopping again in a year, I'll be frustrated with the makes that don't include a back-up camera or bluetooth without having them as an add-on.

Anyway, sorry to get off track... just my $.02.

Does anyone know what the Tier 1 & Tier 2 money factors and 39 mth residuals are for a Touareg 2 V8 w/ a 10K annual mileage allowance?

Are there any buyer incentives planned for February?

Thanks!

Hello kabcpab. According to the new vehicle pricing section of Edmunds.com, the dealer invoice price of the truck that you are interested in is around $42,835. Volkswagen is currently providing a $1,000 cash incentive on leases of the 2008 Touareg through VW Credit. This puts the selling price that you were quoted at around $500 over invoice, which is a very good deal. Just make sure that the dealer you are working with uses VW Credit's new 36 month, 15k buy rate lease money factor and residual value of .00066 / 50% to calculate your truck's monthly payment and you're in business.

Hey jabber. Here you go. VW Credit's current buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 24 month lease of a 2008 Volkswagen Touareg V6 with 12,000 miles per year are .00052 and 61%, respectively. The numbers for an otherwise identical 36 month lease are .00066 and 52%. When negotiating your lease on this truck, make sure to take the $1,000 cash incentive that Volkswagen is providing on leases of it into account.

Hi audibmw. $800 over dealer invoice isn't bad, as long as the dealer is then subtracting the $1,000 cash incentive that Volkswagen is providing on leases of the '08 Touareg from that. Otherwise you are really paying more like $1,800 over invoice, which is a lot.

VW Credit's current buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36 month lease of a 2008 Volkswagen Touareg V8 with 10,000 miles per year are .00066 and 49%, respectively. The numbers for an otherwise identical 48 month lease are .00118 and 41%. This truck's exact lease payment will depend upon what its MSRP and selling price are. You can plug the aforementioned lease program along with these numbers into the formula that is outlined in the following article to calculate your truck's payment: Calculate Your Own Lease Payment.

Greetings stef76. Volkswagen Credit's current buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36 month lease of a 2008 Touareg V8 with 10,000 miles per year are .00066 and 49%, respectively. When negotiating your lease on this truck, make sure to take the $1,000 cash incentive that is currently available on leases of it into account.

Hi everybody,

Does anybody have an out-of-door price for a 2008 Touareg2, including the lux and tech package? Please also let me know your tax rate and document fees, so that I can figure out what I would expect to pay. If you can supply any additional details so that I could negotiate like a pro, I would greatly appreciate it!!

Thanks.
