You're welcome alexbpm. If I was in the market for this car right now, I personally would shoot for a selling price of a couple hundred dollars over dealer invoice minus the $1,000 cash incentive that is available on leases of it.

This car's payment will depend upon what sort of selling price you are able to negotiate. For the purpose of this estimate I will assume a $1,000 dealer discount and the $1,000 cash incentive are deduced. Let me know if you want me to make a different assumption.

According to my calculations, if you were to lease a 2012 Passat Sedan SE that has a sunroof, navigation, an MSRP of $25,200 and a capitalized cost of $23,200 through VW Credit right now for 36-monthw with 15,000 miles per year, your zero down, pre-tax monthly payment would be around $299.

I need help with my lease? I have 3 1/2 months left on my 09'' jetta se w/sunroof & I'm at 60,000+ miles on 48,000 15 cents per mile. Negotiated 12'' passat s 2.5 liter to $349 per month with four hundred down for 48 month lease w/15,000 a year. I don't know anything about how the residual value works or leasing prices in general for that matter. Please give me some helpful advice? Credit is great but it's the buy out thats killing me. Thank you

On the 2.5 SEL the sticker was 29k.
on a 36 month lease with 12k a year, they quoted me 0 drive off at 399 a month including tax.

What does your payment come out to with the money factor and residual?
I was hoping to get the car today if i can go lower than that.

Also, we currently are leasing a VW CC which we got last year. Is there a loyalty program to lower my cost?

Thanks again

I keep seeing a reference to a $1000 incentive on Passat leases, here. Does that apply to TDI models as well?

What is the residual and money factor for a 36 month 12,000 mile lease on a Passat TDI?

Thanks

I'm sorry but I'm very confused. You indicate that a Passat 2.5L SE with sunroof and navi has an MSRP of $25,200? My information indicates that a regular Passat SE (w/o roof or navi) is over $25,800. Am I misunderstanding something?

Also is the cash incentive publicized anywhere or do you just have to tell the dealer? They certainly won't offer the information.

The MSRP of a 2012 Passat SE w/sunroof & navi is $27,565. It is typically sold with the $235 may set for a sticker price of $27,800.

You can check this buy doing the "Build Your Own" on the VW website.

#893 of 1183 Leased a 2012 Passat SE w/sunroof by dhkhan

Got my Passat lease yesterday, based on the following:

Location: Colorado

MSRP: $26,630 (Base price 25,625, Mats $235, Dest. $770)

Selling Price: $24,930 (was originally quoted $25,445, which is $100 over invoice, but negotiated them down)

Residual: 56% Money Factor 0.0074 (I was expecting 0.00049, but they said that was for the base SE, but I got a high trade in so didn't care).

Got a $1,000 rebate, and $1,250 trade cash for a total $2,250 cap reduction.

So Capitalized cost: $23,795

36 months, 12,00 miles per year and and Residual: $14,913

Monthly Payment before tax: 271.92

$0 cash OTD, as they covered sales tax on cap cost reduction, etc. under the $0 OTD lease promotion. (Couldn't figure how this worked, but I was just happy with this deal to not bother asking).

A big thank you to Car_man and all the forum members for sharing their experiences. Took me about 2 weeks of research on the internet and negotiating to get this deal.

Hi 1080pete. It would be helpful if you could provide us with the MSRP and selling price of the Passat that you are interested in. The selling prices of leased vehicles are negotiable, just as if you were paying cash for or financing them. Without these numbers it is more difficult to tell how large a dealer discount you are being given...and in turn if there is any room left to negotiate. Let us know and we'll tell you what we think.

Hi cheesemacaroni. Great username . Unfortunately, the $1,000 cash incentive that Volkswagen is currently providing on leases of the Passat is not available on Diesel models.

According to the latest information that I have seen, VW Credit's current buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36-month lease of a 2012 Passat TDI with 12,000 miles per year are .00167 and 59%, respectively for consumers who qualify for its top credit tier.

Hi beetlemania2. I just used the MSRP that the poster I was replying to provided me with. You can look up any vehicle's MSRP over in the New Vehicle Pricing section of Edmunds.com.

I'm not aware of any publication that talks about the $1,000 cash incentive on leases of Passats, but it definitely exists.
