Hey brendanm14. VW Credit's May buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36 month lease of a 2009 Jetta SE Wagon with 12,000 miles per year are .00053 and 48%, respectively.

The simple answer to why VW Credit's residual values are higher on Jetta Sedans than they are on Jetta Wagons is that the sedans retain their value better. Theoretically, vehicles' residual values are based upon what they would sell for on the open market several years from now as used vehicles. The potential list of customers who would be willing to buy a sedan is much larger than the list of customers who would be willing to buy a wagon.

Hi tomb050409. VW Credit's May lease program is different than its April program was. Its current buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36 month lease of a 2009 Jetta Sedan SE with 12,000 miles per year are .00054 and 53%, respectively.

When negotiating your lease on this car, make sure to take advantage of the $750 cash incentive that Volkswagen is currently providing on leases of it ($1,250 on models with manual transmissions).

Cash incentives by kellih

Car_man,

I don't see anything on the VW site about Jetta lease cash incentives. Are these directly to the consumer or manufacturer to dealer? The dealer could play dumb so want to make sure I've got my ducks in a row.

Thanks,
KH

I confirmed the incentives car_man mentioned 750/1250 manual trans.

Here's my quote on a Wolfsburg Jetta, MSRP of $23574
$22777 invoice
$22000 price after incentive
$1250 drive off (1st month pymt, dmv, lic/fee)
.00139 MF
55% residual 12k miles per year
$327 per month, 36 month lease inc tax at 9.25%

In my opinion, the Wolfsburg Jetta with the 2.0T and DSG is one of the best packages for the money right now. However, it seems like I can do better on the lease? Maybe more than $750 below invoice?

There aren't many of these out there and compared to $200 lease for a Jetta S, the Wolfsburg Jetta is a far better driver's car.

Thoughts on this lease payment, model, etc are appreciated.

That sounds like a very good deal on your wolfsburg! I am looking to get this model. There really is no need to go all the way up to the GLI. The GLI is very sharp, but for the money, you get get a similar feel. The engine is so much fun, and fast!! I was very impressed. I plan to lease the car in RED, tint the windows, and you have a hot looking car!

Though, I have thought about a few other models too. Perhaps the tiguan. That would be a fun little SUV. But, to get the leather you have to get the SEL. Which is crazy. The SE should be like the Jetta and come with the leatherette. S model come with cloth only. The SEL come with real leather.

I have also though about the Passat, I like a bigger car.

The wolfsburg is top choice.

2009 Jetta SE lease offer by leah732

Can someone tell me if I am getting a good deal? Also, would it be wiser to sign for 12k per year (36 months) instead of 10K per year. Would it be feasible if I want to keep my monthly payments at no more than 275?

So far I was offered..

35 payments X 309/mo w/ 10k miles/yr with just first payment out of pocket (all inclusive of all taxes and fees)
35 x289 w/ $1000 out of pocket
35x 259 w/$2,000 out of pocket
35x229 w/ $3,000 out of pocket

I just want the standard SE features (with beige leather interior). And this quote is for a model with 17 alloy wheels, bluetooth and a "monster mats" and "trunk liner kit".

What should I counter with if I just want the standard SE features?

Thank in advance for the advice!
