The good news is that Volkswagen is currently providing $500 dealer cash on diesel Jetta Sedans. Theoretically, vehicles' residual values are based upon what they would sell for on the open market several years from now as used vehicles. Car_man,   I don't see anything on the VW site about Jetta lease cash incentives. Are these directly to the consumer or manufacturer to dealer? Replying to: kellih (May 08, 2009 2:03 pm) I confirmed the incentives car_man mentioned 750/1250 manual trans.   Here's my quote on a Wolfsburg Jetta, MSRP of $23574 $22777 invoice $22000 price after incentive $1250 drive off (1st month pymt, dmv, lic/fee) .00139 MF 55% residual 12k miles per year $327 per month, 36 month lease inc tax at 9.25%   In my opinion, the Wolfsburg Jetta with the 2.0T and DSG is one of the best packages for the money right now. However, it seems like I can do better on the lease? Maybe more than $750 below invoice?   There aren't many of these out there and compared to $200 lease for a Jetta S, the Wolfsburg Jetta is a far better driver's car.   Thoughts on this lease payment, model, etc are appreciated. Replying to: carrerah (May 08, 2009 9:05 pm) That sounds like a very good deal on your wolfsburg! I am looking to get this model. There really is no need to go all the way up to the GLI. The GLI is very sharp, but for the money, you get get a similar feel. The engine is so much fun, and fast!! I was very impressed. I plan to lease the car in RED, tint the windows, and you have a hot looking car!   Though, I have thought about a few other models too. Perhaps the tiguan. That would be a fun little SUV. But, to get the leather you have to get the SEL. Which is crazy. The SE should be like the Jetta and come with the leatherette. S model come with cloth only. The SEL come with real leather.   I have also though about the Passat, I like a bigger car.   The wolfsburg is top choice.
