Hi ympsi. The most important numbrs to focus on when leasing are your vehicle's selling price and the money factor that the dealer is using to calculate its monthly payment.

Let us know what the selling price of the Jetta is in relation to its MSRP or dealer invoice price and I'm sure that either myself or another knowledgeable community member will be happy to let you know what they think.

As far as the money factor goes, VW Credit's current buy rate lease money factor for a 36 month lease of a 2009 Jetta Sedan S is .00117. Make sure that the dealer that you are working with uses that factor to calculate your payment.

Hi susaned. Unfortunately, Volkswagen is not currently providing any lease support on diesel models. As a result, its lease program for the car that you are interested in is not very attractive right now. VW Credit's current buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36 month lease of a 2009 Jetta Sedan TDI with 15,000 miles per year are .00302 and 52%, respectively.

That's the bad news. The good news is that Volkswagen is currently providing $500 dealer cash on diesel Jetta Sedans. This dealer cash can be used in conjunction with the aforementioned lease program.

Hey susaned. VW Credit's residual values for leases with 12,000 miles per year are 2% higher than its 15,000 mile per year residuals.

Hey brendanm14. VW Credit's May buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36 month lease of a 2009 Jetta SE Wagon with 12,000 miles per year are .00053 and 48%, respectively.

The simple answer to why VW Credit's residual values are higher on Jetta Sedans than they are on Jetta Wagons is that the sedans retain their value better. Theoretically, vehicles' residual values are based upon what they would sell for on the open market several years from now as used vehicles. The potential list of customers who would be willing to buy a sedan is much larger than the list of customers who would be willing to buy a wagon.

Hi tomb050409. VW Credit's May lease program is different than its April program was. Its current buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36 month lease of a 2009 Jetta Sedan SE with 12,000 miles per year are .00054 and 53%, respectively.

When negotiating your lease on this car, make sure to take advantage of the $750 cash incentive that Volkswagen is currently providing on leases of it ($1,250 on models with manual transmissions).

Cash incentives by kellih

Car_man,

I don't see anything on the VW site about Jetta lease cash incentives. Are these directly to the consumer or manufacturer to dealer? The dealer could play dumb so want to make sure I've got my ducks in a row.

Thanks,
KH
