I'd like to know if anyone has the MF and residual for March for a Jetta SE...I'm considering leasing a Jetta SE and negotiated the following deal via email. The dealership did not give me the MF or residual even though I asked for it twice. 36 month lease, 15k mi/yr Base model with Ipod adapter add-on only. MSRP: $22,094 Sale Price: $19,943 ($1,000 below invoice) Up Front Fees: $1,000 I told them I only wanted to put down the inception fees and nothing more. Per the dealership, this is for "up front fees". Still waiting for clarification whether taxes are included in this monthly payment (I live in NJ). Does the $1,000 seem a bit high for inception fees? Monthly payment: $299. I only have one more day before this deal changes. I don't know if it will change for the better or not? I've heard that the last few days of the month, dealerships are always willing to negotiate a bit more to move their inventory. Thanks in advance for your help!

Replying to: jerseyshore3 (Mar 30, 2009 8:47 am) From the info on this forum, the MF is .00101 and the residual is 54%. Using the figures you posted, I come up with a monthly payment of $307. I'm picking up a Jetta SE also today- the price is higher since it has auto trans, sunroof, and couple of other items. I'm putting $2500 down - which includes all upfront fees, licensing, etc. and the monthly payment is $249.00. I'm sure I could have haggled a somewhat better deal but even if they dropped another few hundred off the selling price, the lease payment only would drop a few dollars. |

I live in the Los Angeles area and am likely going to enter into a lease agreement today or tomorrow for a 2009 Jetta Wolfsburg (automatic transmission). The cost of the car listed online at the dealer's website is about $23,524, which seems higher than what various online reports suggest. I do not want to pay any money down, at all, and do not have a trade-in. Multiple dealerships in LA have the Wolfsburg I want, although I would prefer to work with one salesman and not pit them against each other. I will be looking for a 3-year lease at 12,000 miles per year. Based on whatever the new April MF and residual rates are (which I'll ask for but don't currently know), what do you think is the best monthly payment I can negotiate in this economy? $330 before taxes? Thank you all very much for your help. I appreciate it.
