If it is, it would be a bit discouraging as I was hoping to get the dealers to at or below invoice, then asking for the loyalty incentive. I am fairly certain there is still a $500 incentive for manual transmission as well. Thanks,

Can someone let me know the current incentives for the 2009 Jetta Wolfsburg 2.0t? I currently own a 2007 Jetta GLI so I would be elibile for any loyalty rebates, I also graduated college in July 2007 so do I also get any grad deals? I didnt use one on the 07 purchase. I'm looking at a 3yr 15k/yr lease

The first dealer I went to is where I ended up, but after I received their initial higher offer, I took that to another dealer. I spent almost a week in negotiations with the second dealer for the car that was closest to what I wanted, which happened to be a couple thousand less than the car I picked out at the first dealership. That second dealership employed several shady and underhanded tactics so I really didn't want to do business with them. I took that offer to the original dealer and told them I got the deal I needed from the other dealer, but they (the first dealer) had the car I wanted. Basically, I said this is what I want to pay for the car I want, make it happen. And they came damn close and that was good enough for me. |

After tons of research and test drives (S40, 9-3, A3, Mazda3, WRX, Accord, Mini Clubman, etc.) I'm making a decision this weekend on the new Jetta Wolfsburg, so I'd like the advice of anyone offering it. I'm a small business owner, so because of tax benefits I've decided on a lease. It all shakes down to this: 2009 Jetta WE, stick 36mo/12k/ZERO down $335 per month Anyone? I'm also getting a good deal on my trade-in, and I've negotiated this pretty hard - let me know what you think. Also, I live in Delaware. Thx.

The only issue i have is the stereo is very "trebley" if that's a word. I actually found that dealers were more willing to work on prices of automatics because apparently only 10% of the WE's are manuals (there's really no way I could find to verify this) and they actually offered me $100 less than that for an automatic, but I prefer manual. |

Hi, I am in Miami, FL and planning to lease a VW Jetta, either S or SE , in the next week. First question: other than the sunroof and V-tex seats, is there a real difference between the two model's? Also, the numbers they brought back to me were around $300 p. (39m, 12K p/y) for the S and about $20 more ($320) for the SE. I want to know if this is a good deal or am I getting ripped off. The VW website shows the S at $269 p/m + tax, tag, dealer fees etc. Can I ask them to waive the dealer fees? Basically I want to know if $300 for this lease is a good deal or should i walk away?

Replying to: nslawrence (Dec 14, 2008 6:01 am) I leased an SE for 275.00 a month a few weeks ago, $500 down full ( I think all but $100 of that were registration fees). I did a lot of haggling , I feel like it an ok deal. In this enviornment, I would really try to get them below 300. I have 12k per yr, 39 months. For me, the S is not worth it. The wheels look cheap and there is no satellite radio. The SE is better. Keep in mind before this I had an SEL ( it was a package 3 in 2006) with real leather and NAV so I couldn't give up that much and drop to an S. Even though its a pain always always got to at least 2 dealers. Call one and try bluffing. Maybe say, " someone else is telling me 295 but if you can do 280, I will buy from you.." Keep us posted! By the way I am in the Boston area.

Replying to: polyvw (Dec 11, 2008 4:09 pm) Volkswagen is waiving the first month's payment and security deposit on all Jetta leases this month. I believe, but I'm not 100% positive, that the Wolfsburg qualifies for this offer. Car_man Host Prices Paid: Buying & Leasing Experiences Forum
