Hey jgirl6. See my previous post about credit tiers. As far as this lease goes, you mentioned this car's MSRP and dealer invoice price, but never its selling price. Are you getting this car at invoice? The lower its selling price is, the lower your monthly payment will be.
Have you tried comparison shopping with another dealer or two?

Thanks for sharing, hlcastelo. I'm not surprised that you were able to get a better lease on the Jetta TDI that you are interested in by leasing through an independent bank. As has been mentioned here, VW Credit's current money factor for it is not great.

You're very welcome, rhett78. Volkswagen Credit's current buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36 month lease of a 2009 Jetta Wolfsburg Sedan with 15,000 miles per year are .00312 and 61%, respectively.

Hello car_man,
So after a lot of research and test-drives, I finally just bought a 09 Jetta Wolfsburg edition, automatic for 21,600. Just wanted to know if I got a good deal. I think I did, but I'm no car expert. Any thoughts would be appreciated!
Thanks!

May I ask what your deal was? Like what is your payment, what terms? I am looking to get one myself.

After weeks of "haggling" with the dealer, I got mine for $21,500, Wolfsburg automatic with drivers kit, which includes the mats and lip spoiler. I'd say you did very well...did you get any additional options on yours?

Hi bvdj84, I paid cash-down for my car. I'm from Canada and it was such a hassle for me to get my credit approved here, so it was much easier to just pay cash. From all the research that I did though, leasing/payment options for a VW right now is really good if you have a good credit rating.
