I was wondering if this is a good deal or not. I am in the PA area.   2008 Jetta S w/ Cold Weather package   $0 down $273 a month 10,000 miles p/ year 36 months   MSRP: $ 19,100   Residual: $11,100   Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thank you!   ~K

My lease is almost up for my 06 Jetta. I have leather ( real not leatherette), NAV, heated front seats, and satellite radio. I love my car and wish my lease was longer but thats the finance quote they gave me is way too expensive for a VW:). I am toying with getting a new jetta with all the same stuff. Considering the economy etc..what is a good lease price? I am so overwhelmed. I currently pay $252.00 and put $3,000 down. I would love to put nothing down but I can't imagine I can get an ok monthly payment with all the bells and whistles with nada down. Thank you for your help! Maybe the more appropriate question is where do you guys live and how far is your commute to work? I considered leasing my VW until I figured out that I drive 10K miles year just going back and forth to work. Good luck with that. What's the penality for going over the alotted mileage? After 2 yrs of everyone acting like I was nuts, I even got a salesman to admit it doesn't get in the city even close to what the sticker price claims. I lke the idea of getting better mileage but I know driving around looking for a station that has it and then having to pay more will start to make me crazy. 2. If I put no money down, do you think it is possible to get a top of the line jetta ( prob SEL) for #250 ish per month? The dealerships I have contacted don't seem to be able to find any 08 jettas with NAV out there so no I am thinking of getting an 09 and keeping my car in the meantime.

Plus I live in a "college town" so everything is close by. I should survive with 10,000 miles a year. If I see that I'm going over my miles I'll just have to carpool with the other girls that live in my house to campus!

Replying to: jessy1 (Jul 24, 2008 9:30 am) Gary, What how many miles are you getting to the tank? you using low octane fuel?   Im still working on my first tank of gas. 150ish miles on a half tank so far. Went my first 100 on a 1/4 tank and I was praying that the trend would continue. I justed to drive a Jeep GC got 17 or so mpg and cost me 75 to fill it up.If I can get 325 - 350 on a tank in my Jetta I'll be happy. Fill-ups should cost 3.4 of what they did in my Jeep.
