Hello Germaneer. Volkswagen Credit's February buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36-month lease of a 2012 GTI without sunroof, navigation or Autobahn with 12,000 miles per year are .00052 and 56%, respectively for consumers who qualify for its top credit tier.

If you provide me with the MSRP and dealer invoice price for the exact car that you're interested in, which can be found in the new vehicle pricing section of this site, I would be happy to work up a sample payment on it for you.

Hi Car_man,

I'm looking to get a 2-door 2012 GTI with Autobahn package and manual transmission. I just came back from a dealer who gave me a 53% residual value and a 0.00052 money factor on a 12k miles, 36-month lease. The numbers seem low for the residual value and high for the money factor.

Could you please help me with what's VW's money factor and residual value for this vehicle?

Also, are the residual values/money factors different for an automatic or 4 door?

Thank you very much for your help.

Hello Car Man,

Do you have the residual and money factor for a 2-door Base 2012 Golf R for 48 months at 10k miles per year?

Thanks.

Hi javue. The money factor and residual value that you were quoted for this car are right on the money.

I don't believe that the lease program is any different for the 4-Door model.

I sure do shiparch. Volkswagen Credit's February buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 48-month lease of a 2012 Golf R with 10,000 miles per year are .00167 and 57%, respectively for consumers who qualify for its top credit tier.

Thanks Car Man, that residual does seem high for 48 months but that's very good.

Hi Car Man,

I see that there is a national deal on leasing now for a GTI Base 4dr: $1999, 12k miles, $279 per month payment. I am trying to understand what the real costs will be. I see money factor of .00052 and residual of 56%. Am I missing anything? What should I expect my actual payment will be when tax etc is added. Sorry for the newbie question, I never have leased a car before.
