Car_Man, I noticed the VW website updated today by keeping the same offers from last month and just extending the expiration date to July 2, 2007. Does this mean all the lease figures you gave me for May are the same for June too? Thanks! |

Car_Man, I'm reading on this site that VW GTI leases are having a MF of .00117 in May. Not sure what June's are. My local dealer is telling me that VW has offered nothing lower than 0.00215 for the past several months. Is he full of it or is there an alternate explanation? I'm in Iowa if that matters. Please help. |

Hi everyone, Just wanted to share my deal with you as my way of saying thanks for all the people who previously posted info and made my research and negotiating so much easier! I signed my GTI lease in the Seattle area last Friday... Car Details: 2007 VW GTI, 4 door, DSG, Pkg 2, 18" Hufs, iPod adapter, mats MSRP $28,5xx Invoice: $26,998 (after regional costs added) Selling price: $27,100 + ttl 3 year, 10K miles/yr lease: $381/mo (including 9.2% sales tax) with $2K total out of pocket at signing ($1,2xx down, $235 for registration, license, title etc) Calculated with .00175 MF and 58% residual. Apologies for not having a more detailed breakdown of all the costs, but I don't have the paperwork with me at the moment. I am pretty happy with this deal because the 4 door pkg 2 cars appear to be hot property in the Seattle area and I had some difficulty even finding one to buy! Thanks again, and good luck to those of you still looking!

Hey Car_Man, I am interested in leasing an 07 4dr GTI, 15,000 miles per/year. What is the residual and Money Factor for June and July? Are there any incentives? Thanks in advance, Kameron

Replying to: polyvw (May 23, 2007 6:14 pm) Through July 8th, VW Credit's buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 24 month lease of a 2007 Jetta GLI with 15,000 miles per year are .00068 and 59%, respectively. The numbers for an otherwise identical 36 month lease are .00068 and 51%. When negotiating your lease on the GLI, make sure to take the $750 VW Credit bonus cash that is currently available on it into account. It will help you to negotiate an attractive capitalized cost for your lease. I am not aware of any cash incentives for loyal owners or recent college grads. Car_man Host Prices Paid Forum |

Replying to: wylyth (May 25, 2007 3:02 pm) I know that Illinois' sales tax laws for leases are terrible. I don't know the exact details of how sales tax is calculated in your state, but I would not be surprised if the way that you described it is correct. You may be able to find out additional information on how sales tax is calculated in your state by visiting the following sites: CyberDrive Illinois or Illinois Department of Revenue.
