with wheel locks, heated seats & mud flaps, and there is a $500 rebate for leasing, so figure in the area of +/- $29,000. With NYC/NYS tax & all fees into the lease, wherein pay only first month & tags when take delivery, the lease payment should be $376.

August 2009 Toyota Camry Rates by robertkaleal1

Hey CarMan (or anyone who knows),

I am doing the lease vs. buy analysis on a new 2010 Camry. Can you give me the lease rates and residual amounts for August for the LE, XLE and SE (all 4-cly)? 36 month term, 15K miles per year. I live in Kansas. With this info, I believe I can use the Edmunds lease calculator to determine lease prices based on selling prices.

Thanks, I really appreciate it.

Just came from dealership. These are the lease numbers I got:

2010 XLE with Leather, Heated Seats, Smart Key
Selling Price: $27,165
36 mo 15K/yr residual: 15,955
Add'l $1000 College Graduate Rebate
Payment Including Kansas TPP and Sales Tax (6.3%): 349

2010 SE with 17" Alloys, Upgraded Stereo, Sunroof, Smart Key, Spoiler
Selling Price: $25,761
36 mo 15K/yr redisual: $14,249
Add'l $1000 College Graduate Rebate
Payment Including Kansas TPP and Sales Tax (6.3%): 326.71

Only money due at signing is first payment plus about $50.

My only issue is that I don't know if I am happy about the selling price on the vehicles. I know the finance guy and he said that because of cash for clunkers (and increased demand), prices aren't as good as they were. FWIW, There is only 1 Toyota dealer w/in 50 miles of where I live.

What do you guys think of the prices?

Compare www.edmunds.com prices with the "cars" section of www.overstock.com [uses the www.truecar.com engine], all within your zip code or one that is convenient to you, to get a good base cost selling price w/your selected options and the dealers who sell same. The "truecar" engine can guarantee the dealer price in advance, as will say so per dealer displayed.
