Oh - and they said that the $500 rebate ended on the 5th I believe. At least on the lease side.

The $500 rebate is for purchase only. Please post how things went after you complete the deal and have your murano in the driveway.

Saw this lease price on another site. Anyone see any truth to this for an LE? A lot higher residual and lower cap cost than I have been quoted.
09 Murano LE AWD No Navigation.
Leasing for 39 months 15K/year miles
MSRP $37,700
Cap Cost $33,640
56% residual
.0025 MF
$500 downpayment to cover 1st month and reg fee

Now Bellevue Nissan has stated that they don't have the vehicle I want (duh - they've known that) and unless I lock into one of the two they do have (don't like either color option) they'd have to go out and get it and it will have a later build date and be anywhere from $900-$1800 more on MSRP than what they quoted. This is why people dislike dealers so much. Why can't they be up front and not try to pull a switch if they've pretty much got a done deal?!

jenntl -- are you turning in a murano for another one ? If so, you can terminate your lease 3-6 months early with no penalty. If they actually give you that deal you posted, I would get it now. The leasing market is deteriorating because the depreciation factors are worsening -- especially with an 09 as the 2010's are not far off. Your LE had a cap cost 6K higher than mine and your payments with tax are only $75 more. I guess you got 1k for renewal but that deal is great for a loaded LE. As the economy keeps tanking, the leases are probably going to be less attractive. Audi and bmw leases are tanking so nissan could be next. Just a thought -- could be wrong.

Nope - turning in a Passat on the 5th. I don't want Black on Black or White with Beige. I'd be happy to lock in now for the car I've been telling them I wanted for several weeks.

How did you like your passat? the 4motion wagon looks great. The jetta I drove was nice but the seats were too narrow [no comment ,please] but the passat looks a bit bigger.

I miss my previous Passat. This one just never clicked with me and I had a number of very annoying, goofy things go wrong on it. I'm done with VW for awhile.

So found the car I want at another dealership. The owner's wife is currently driving it. 3k miles on it. Any idea what I should get off $$-wise to get into that one?

Shoot for at least $6500 off msrp. Then you have to see if they match the lease deal you got from the other dealer. $5500 off an LE is a given -- have seen 6k off so try for another 500 but be ready for shenanigans on the lease deal.
