Sounds like you got a great deal. I am looking for the exact car but without the Nav. ( I am trying to get it for about $440-450/mo.)
Do you know what the $1,000 down for for? I assume: 1st month,(489)DMV fees + what else ? I assume you rolled tax & bank fee into monthly lease paymrnt.
Thanks, Bob

Yup, 1k included first month. Your payment range was my original range without the Nav. One dealer only had a car with nav. that fit my wants and I thought it would be good to have. All fees rolled into lease. I was actually ready to let the Nav go and asked what what the price difference was. It wasn't great and they seemed to want to stay with the nav car to get it out. My portable garmin is a better Nav. unit but it is nice to have it all integrated into the car especially with the XM traffic option being displayed on the map. Good Luck

I'm in Maryland and the dealership is Jones Nissan in Bel Air. It took me about 3 weeks to work the deal. The sales guy was very nice and didn't take it personally at all. His name is Ray, you can't miss him. good luck.

Lease money rate question -- Car man or kyfdx

If after you negotiate the best price on a murano and get the depreciation %, if you are not happy with the money rate, can the dealer make it better or does nissan dictate the factor? Example--- I say that everything looks good for a deal today but the money factor is not competitive with Bmw for instance. If they really want to make the deal and I start walking out the door, what's the chance I can improve my deal ?

Carman,
Is this a good deal or do you think residuals and mf will get better towards end of Dec. My lease is up Jan. 5, 2009 and wondering to hold off until end of year for better deal. MSRP $36,715, Sale price is $32,696. MF.00208, residual is 56% or $20,560. $1,000 total out of pocket, 39 month with 15,000 miles is $467/month. Do you think it will get better or pull trigger now? I heard it is expected to get better after Thanksgiving Holiday!!

Hi jayrider. Don't worry, it looks like you got an excellent deal. Vehicles' money factors aren't exactly negotiable. Dealers can not use lower money factors than the ones that banks publish. However they are sometimes allowed to mark money factors up to add additional, hidden profit to deals. That did not happen on your lease. Nissan Motor Acceptance Corp.'s October buy rate lease money factor for the Murano was the .00239 that the dealer used to calculate your lease payment. This is as good as it was going to get.
I hear what you're saying about leasing in Illinois. The tax laws there are much worse for lessees than they are in most other parts of the country.

Hi ngordon. It is difficult to say what Nissan's December lease program for the Murano will be like. At some point, manufacturers will start to cut production rather than continue to crank up incentives on their vehicles. Nissan recently announced two significant production cuts. If I recall correctly, the Murano is one of the models that it is cutting back on. This leads me to believe that a major Murano blowout is not in the cards, but it is entirely possible that Nissan's December lease program for it will be a little better than its current one. I don't expect to see an money factor on it like the one that you got on your Altima earlier this year though.

Thanks Car_Man,
I am hoping for a little more help from Nissan for Dec. Compared to so many in the class (CX-7, Highlander, Edge, Tiquan, etc), I can't find any better or more vehicle for the money...unless you have a suggestion?
