Hi dealseeker8. The Murano that you are interested in probably has a spread of around $3,000 between its full MSRP and its dealer invoice price. For the purpose of estimating this vehicle's lease payment I will assume that you will be able to negotiate a $2,000 discount. Let me know if you are able to get a better price than that. According to my calculations, if you were to lease a 2007 Nissan Murano SL 2WD that has an MSRP of $34,475 and a selling price of $32,475 through NMAC right now for 39 months with 12,000 miles per year, your zero down, pre-tax monthly payment would be around $403.

The rules for how sales tax is calculated on leased vehicles vary from state to state. I am not personally familiar with how sales tax is calculated on leases in your area, but you may be able to find out by visiting one of the following sites: Florida Department of Motor Vehicles or Florida Department of Revenue.

Hi forman350. What is this vehicle's MSRP? I ask because it will show me how much of a discount you are being given on it and it will enable me to use Nissan's actual lease program to estimate what your monthly payment should be. Let me know and I'll tell you what I think.

Hi jsdilops. Nissan Motor Acceptance Corp.'s current buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 39 month lease of a 2007 Nissan Murano SL 2WD with 15,000 miles per year are .00024 and 49%, respectively. You are right, NMAC's 12,000 mile per year residual value would be 1% higher than its 15,000 mile peer residual.

Welcome xxjojoxx. Since you are new to the world of leasing, you definitely should check out the following informative articles that are available here at Edmunds.com prior to visiting any dealers: 10 Steps to Leasing a New Car and Calculate Your Own Lease Payment.

In short, the two most important numbers to focus on when leasing are the selling price of your vehicle and the money factor that is being used to calculate its monthly payment. Always remember that the selling prices of leased vehicles are negotiable, just as if you were paying cash for or financing them (other than the fact that Nissan's customer cash is not compatible with its special lease program). Shop around with a few dealers until you get a selling price that you are comfortable with and then have the dealer calculate your monthly payment using Nissan Motor Acceptance Corp.'s buy rate lease money factor. If you tell me how long you want to lease for, I can tell you what that number should be.

Hi nissanbuyer3. In your post you mentioned that you are being given a money factor of .00240. Do you mean .00024? I suspect that you misplaced a "0" because the latter money factor is correct. If not then the factor that is being used to calculate your lease payment is way too high.

You also mentioned this vehicle's dealer invoice price, but never stated what its selling price is. Is the selling price the same as the invoice price? If so, this is an outstanding deal. If not, what is the selling price?

Hi manstendig. I see that you are considering making a $2,500 down payment on your lease. I always advise consumers not to make capitalized cost reductions on leases. Consumers who do risk losing part or all of the money that they put down if their vehicle is totaled in an accident or stolen and never recovered. Consumers can and should lease any vehicle that they want without making a cap cost reduction.

I would be more than happy to give you my opinion of this deal, but it would be a big help if you would provide me with this vehicle's MSRP first. It will show me exactly how much of a discount you are being given and it will enable me to use Nissan's lease program to estimate what your monthly payment should be.

Hey car_man sent this to your email but repeating it here to make sure:

Hey carman;
i've least a couple of Lexuses(or Lexi) in the past. Both times I was able to use multiple deposits to lower the money factor. Was also able to do this with a BMW lease. Do you know if it is still possible with Lexus and what the discount would be per deposit? I believe the last time (on a 1999 GS400) it was .0001 per deposit.
