Plugging in the numbers in the post before yours -- the lease for your vehicle at 15k miles per year should be $544 plus tax and fees. At 12k miles yours should be a bit less. What money factor was your dealer using?

The money factor is 0.0005 for the lease which works out to 1.2%.
Your calculation does not seem to be true because the current lease programs all over Mercedes benz website and at the dealerships are 549.00 per month for 48months for a ML 350 automatic with only 10,000 mile per year with over $5,000.00 down. I would love for the deal to be 549.00. However ther are no known programs at mercedes benz finance with payments for $549 plus taxes and fees for 48 months with15,000 miles and $2100.00 out of pocket on a vehicle with an original msrp of $54450.00. If there is one, please give me the dealship info.

I just used car-man's info of .00050 mf and 44% residual. Cap cost $48400 minus residual of $23955 = $24445 / 48 months is $509.

$48400 + $23955 = $72355 / .00050 = $ 36.

$ 509 + 36 = $ 545 for a 48 month least at 15k per year. All fees and taxes extra.

Run the numbers , I may have miscalculated. Forget about so called programs -- you have all the numbers to run the lease. It is what it is.

Note that there was only one ML 350 in the Northeast with the equipment mentioned above that was in stock. My local dealer did a swap with another MB dealership in MD and is having the car picked up and transported via Truck.

Hey bettyblu. Yes, Mercedes' lease program for the ML320 Bluetec is different from its program on the ML350. Mercedes-Benz is not currently providing any lease support on the diesel ML. As a result, if you were to lease one through MB Finance, you would have to use its standard lease program...which isn't very good.

2009 ML 350 Lease MF and Residual by rahulg

Hi Car Man

I contacted local dealer in Lincoln and he gave me a totally different money factor and residual for a 2009 ML 350 48 m / 15 k lease than what you have mentioned in your posts. He gave me a 0.00050 / 36% whereas you have posted a figure of 0.00050/44% for a 48 mth lease at 15 k miles per year. Kindly let me know whats the right value and if your value is right, how do I prove to dealership that they are giving me an inflated value. Sales mgr also told me that he will write to edmunds that they are posting a wrong lease value but I told him that my reliability factor on car man is much more and I have tested in my previous two leases.

Thanks, Rahul

2009 ML320 BlueTec -- is this an OK price? by nagnihot

Hi, this car is a demo model, with 3200 miles, in NJ:

2009 ML320 BlueTec
Black/Black M-B Tex
H04 Maple wood trim
P02 package
324 Sunroof
550 Trailer Hitch
873 Heated Front seats

MSRP (incl delivery): 57,475.
Selling price: 47,900.

The selling price seems high; I want to make a counter-offer: what would be a good, aggressive number? 44K? 42K?

Also, I haven't told them yet, but once we settle on a price I will ask them to structure a lease. Are there any specials on the 2009 BTC models going on right now?

Thanks!
Naveen.

Hi Rahul. Here's the latest lease program info for you. Mercedes-Benz Financial's current buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 48 month lease of a 2009 ML350 4WD with 15,000 miles per year are .00050 and 36%, respectively. The 44% residual value is for 36 month leases.

Hi Naveen. Mercedes-Benz is currently providing a $2,000 cash incentive on leases of the 2009 ML350 and ML550 through its captive finance company, but unfortunately no cash on the ML320. If you were in the market for a lease of a non-demo ML320, I would advise you to shoot for a selling price of as close to dealer invoice as possible.

The question on this deal is how much of an additional discount should you be getting for going with a demo model that already has over three thousand miles on it. The problem that I personally have with demos is that dealers never seem to be willing to discount what to me is essentially a low mileage used vehicle enough for me to personally justify going with one over an equivalent brand new model. I personally would want at least an additional $2,000 discount to go with this truck over a non-demo and I highly doubt that the dealer would be willing to cut its price by that much. Your threshold for going with a demo may be different.

I was quoted $2,000.00 MBenz, $1,775.00 Dealer and $4,000.00 Fleet Credit Union discounts. With .0050 MF on 36 at 10K per year at MBenz of San Francisco.

I'm thinking I can get slightly better at San Jose or at Pleasanton, CA.
