Hi wompum. While I have never personally done one, I have heard that Mazda Credit does offer One Pay leases. Unfortunately, like most banks' advance pay leases, Mazda's one pay lease option is not interest free. It does provide a reduction in the money factor that is used to calculate the interest portion of the lease cost for consumers who pay for their entire lease in advance though. The last time that I looked into it, Mazda Credit's specific money factor reduction for advance pay leases was around .00041 for 27 month leases, .00083 for 39 month leases, and .00125 48 mo. money leases.

Hi Mark. Mazda's January lease program is different than its December program was. You never mentioned exactly what model you want, how long you want to lease it for, or what mileage allowance you need so for now I am going to assume that you are interested in leasing a 2007 Mazda3 i Sedan through Mazda Credit for 39 months with 15,000 miles per year. Let me know if you want something different. The buy rate lease money factor and residual value for the aforementioned vehicle are .00296 and 58%, respectively.

Here you go, jicbulk. Mazda Credit's current buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 27 month (Mazda is running 27 month leases instead of 24 month ones this month) lease of a 2007 Mazda3 i Touring Sedan with 12,000 miles per year are .00290 and 70%, respectively. The numbers for an otherwise identical 39 month lease (Mazda is running 39 month leases instead of 36 month ones right now) are .00296 and 59%.

Thanks Car_man,

I meant to specify the "S" version of the car....how do the numbers change if I specify Mazda3 S Touring with Man'l Transmission in both Sedan and Hatch. Thanks!

No problem, Jicbulk. Mazda Credit's current buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 27 month lease of a 2007 Mazda3 s Touring Sedan with 12,000 miles per year are .00290 and 68%, respectively. The numbers for an otherwise identical 39 month lease are .00296 and 57%.

Thanks Car_man.

Any way to confirm the numbers? The Dealer (Tully Mazda in Nashua, NH) is quoting me a residual of 67% for the Touring S Sedan. Just want to know, since a % point or two could make a difference in my decision. Thanks.

Hello, car_man,
I read through this forum and I am just wondering. Do you think lease deal on this month is pretty good one? I am seriously lease the car from mazda for Mazda 3 sedan or hatchback. Can I deal on this special price against dealer?
If so, how much do you think I can ask for? Please, answer with your best knowledge. Thank you.

Hey Jicbulk. Mazda's February lease program for this car is different than its January program was. If you were to lease a 2007 Mazda3 S Sedan Touring through Mazda Credit right now for 27 months with 12,000 miles per year, its buy rate lease money factor and residual value would be .00270 and 66%, respectively.

Hi thecardriver. The answer to your question is not really. Of course a "good" deal is a relative thing. The Mazda3's lease program is much better than it used to me a number of months ago, but compared to a lot of other cars out there it isn't great. This car's money factor and residual value are set by Mazda Credit, but its selling price is negotiable. Negotiate the lowest selling price that you can on the Mazda3 that you want and then have the dealer that give it to you calculate your car's monthly payment using its buy rate lease money factor. You can get an idea of what sort off price you should be able to get this car for by visiting the following discussion: "Mazda3: Prices Paid & Buying Experience".

Hello Car_man. After reading all of your helpful posts above, I was hoping you might be able to assist me. I'm thoroughly considering leasing a Mazda 3i Touring but need some help in determining my monthly payments. I realize there are numerous lease calculators and instructional articles available on this subject, but would still appreciate the help of someone with as much experience and savvy as you have.

My first question is, how accurate is the lease calculator provided on the Mazda website? Based on the information I entered, my estimated monthly payments for a MAZDA3 i Touring 4-Door Automatic should be $115.00 including destination and package/option charges after factoring in my cash down payment. The options I selected are: All Weather Floor Mats ($60) and Door Edge Guards ($100). The MSRP is $17,810. I want to put the maximum cash down payment, which in this case is $4452. I've selected a 27 month lease with 12,000 miles per year.

This is my first new car and I'm working with a fixed income. I need to ensure enough money is available for other expenditures too (not including car related expenses) so I think leasing to own, although more costly in the long haul, is the best option for me.

So, do you think the estimation provided by the Mazda lease calculator is accurate? If not, how much off is it by your calculations? If it helps any, I live in Muskegon Michigan.

Thanks a lot!
