damianinpa, The S-Plan price without the spoiler/Sirius is $20,360.00. So, it's an extra $1,040 for those two items??!!
Also, my guess is that your money factor is a bit too high. I'd say with a factor .00152 it should take you to $370 a month with no down. That should be a more reasonable amount. It may depend on your current credit score.
Good luck to you

I'll have to check the numbers, but, I'm fairly sure it was about 21K. No doubt though, the money factor was .0029 and they did NOT run credit. He stated this was based on top credit of Tier 0. I'm going to call another Mazda dealor today. I guess it is possible that the 2 year factor is this high. He quoted me $389 a month for a 3 year lease. Still, Toooo much! I can get a Mid-side Ford Fusion for $380 a month for 2 years!

the lease specials on the mazda site use a much lower MF. I don't know what exactly, but it is most definitely not what you were quoted. The dealer is either quoting you full bank rates or they are marking up mazda's rate.
Personally, to avoid confusing the matter, I would call a dealer (if they will give you this info over the phone is another matter) and ask them what the MF and residual is for mazda's advertised deals on their website.

OK..just got back from another Mazda dealer and here are the real numbers. S Grand touring stick shift has residual of 64%. Auto would be 66%. Money Factor is .00229 Payment for S grand touring with Bose/moonroof (S plan pricing) would be $399 for 2 year 15k miles and $350 for 3 years 15k miles. Those are the real numbers...still seems High, but, that is it. I'm thinking of going Ford since the leases are better.

Damianinpa, the $399/month with $20,360.00 S-Plan Agreed Upon value would be correct for 24 months, but not the 36 months amount. The monthly payment would be around $295. If you're considering the 36 months for a 3, then it's worth going back to the dealership.

Hi plasticmoonrai. Manufacturers usually provide less lease support on new models than they do on leftover models. The reason for this is two fold. First, the residual values for new models are higher than they are for leftover models so manufacturers do not need to provide as much support on them to arrive at reasonable lease payments. Number two, manufacturers want to make leftover models more attractive than new ones to help dealers sell out their remaining inventory.
Mazda Credit's current buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36 month lease of a 2008 Mazda 3i with 15,000 miles per year are .00238 and 57%, respectively.

Here's the information that you're looking for, jak51. Mazda Credit's current buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36 month lease of a 2008 Mazda3 s with 12,000 miles per year are .00238 and 56%, respectively. The numbers for an otherwise identical lease of a Mazda3 i are .00238 and 57%.

OK..here is what I ended up with:
'08 S grand Touring with Bose package, wing spoiler and Sirius. All at S plan pricing. 3 year lease with $500 down = $368 a month. If money factor changes for Early Nov. they will adjust pricing, but, it is unlikely it will change. He showed me the numbers. Car is on a boat headed for US..I'll get it early Nov.

Congrats Damian! Much better choice than a Ford..
Tell me, how much was the Agreed upon Value, Lease Aquisition fee and processing fee. Did you have to pay for the S-Plan Administrative fee as well?
Enjoy your new ride when it arrives.

Dealer Holdback

I'll be shopping for a Mazda 3 locally this weekend. I think the Mazda 3 currently has Dealer Holdback. Is it 1% of the MSRP value ? An 18,000 MSRP would be $180 holdback. Also, I want to get Invoice price and a lower Cap Cost Reduction below $2000. I'm not a great negotiator, but I'm going to ask them for this anyways. I leased a $28,000 Jeep one time and only paid $500 Cap Cost Reduction.
