Hi CarMan - I am negotiating a lease on a QX56 in NJ and would appreciate your help to see if this is a good deal. 39 month lease 12K a month from Salerno Duane Infiniti in Denville.
 
2011 4 WD QX56 w/theater package
MSRP: 64,545
Negotiated Price: 62,245
Residual: 35,499.75
Money Factor is .001800
Inception fee (down payment) 1st month, bank fee, DOC fee, Tire Waste Fee, Title, etc.: $1900
Lease price quoted is $960 a month
 
The lease is a little higher than I hoped, just wondering if you had any ideas or this deal looks solid. Thanks so much. DJ from NJ

You should be able to drop $70-80/month to be honest from my calculations. And I think the RV is 56%, they quoted you 55%. If its 55%, then just try to bring it down that amount, if its 56%, it should come down much more.
 
Truecar.com price for a car with MSRP of $65240 is $61636....which is still a pretty significant markup above Invoice.

I have $5,000 in negative equity for a trade in on an 04 lexus GX 470. I have been quoted for $3,000 for first payment etc, $1,230/mon (with tax) for a QX56 (Deluxe, Tech and Entertainment packages) 12K per year for 48 months.
 
In the alternative, $3,000 down then $1,150 (with tax) for QX 56 with Entertainment only, 12k per year for 48 months.
 
Is rolling this negative equity into a lease a bad deal?

Yea you're significantly paying a lot more, specially since they charge interest on that as well.

The residual value for a lease with only 10,000 miles per year would be 1% higher.
