Any leasing expert will tell you do not do a cap cost reduction (the $2699 in your case). You risk losing some or all of your cap reduction as soon as your drive off the lot if your car is totaled or stolen. Insurance companies only pay for the market value of a lost or stolen car, and the depreciation starts as soon as the tires hit the road with you behind the wheel.
If you are worried about higher payments take the money that you would have put down to cut the payment in a higher interest savings account. If and when you need to make a lower car payment take some of the money out of savings to help with the payment.
Negotiate a lease just like you negotiate a purchase, by the selling price. Compare the selling price to invoice, close to invoice or better is your goal.

Thank you. I am trying to see if I can replicate the following from my dealer today:
"2012 G37X AWD Sedan
Premium Package
Navi Package
Splash guards
Illuminated kick plates
Trunk mat, net, first aid kit
24 month, 12K miles/yr lease (residual factor 0.67, tier 1 credit)
For $335 + tax. No other additional fees"
Will report back. Thanks for all the info on this forum.

2013 G37 Journey Coupe with Prem Package
24 month lease / 24k miles
I got quoted $39125.
With a residual of 71% and money factor 0.00044 (which I got quoted from another dealer in Socal), comes out to $394 with tax and 0 down.
Is that a good deal?

Could you please let me know the name of the dealerships that you got these quotes from my local dealer is the only dealer in the state of Utah. They have a g37x coupe msrp is 48 and they MAY be able to get it down to 45-46. I dont really think thats a good deal but they are saying that they have no profit in the car and wont lose money on it. Can anyone help or suggest what I should do?
