The best offers you are probably going to find are for 24 month leases on either the 2012 G37 Sedan or Coupe. IFS is trying to clear out the 2012s. The 2013 Coupes are out and the 2013 Sedans are on their way. Keep in mind that the 2014 G37 will be completely redesigned and will be out by June, though my dealer said the date keeps getting pushed back. I just got a 2012 G37x AWD Sedan with the premium and navi packages, along with the splash guards, illuminated kick plates, and the trunk mat/net/first aid kit. 365/mo for 24 months including PA tax. Nothing except first month at signing. I did a lot of work to get that deal. Seems like lots of people are getting offers in the low to mid 400s for the same car as me.

Also keep in mind dealers have limited 2012 inventory so you might need to be open minded about colors and options.

I'm looking to buy a G37x in NY equipped like the one you got. What price were you able to negotiate (including destination, regional advertising, and any other stuff they say has to be included). Definitely want the AWD here.

Thanks.

#7175 of 7599 G37x AWD Lease With Negative Equity ... Good or Bad Deal? by desimartin

Sep 25, 2012 (10:04 pm)

Hi there!

Please help! I have a little different scenario. I never planned on paying anything near the advertised lease specials because I am $7500 negative on my trade-in. I want to do a lease to get out of this car that I am currently in before it loses any more value. Additionally this will be for a 2013 instead of a 2012. Here is what I am being offered:

2013 G37x AWD sedan with nav, premium and interior pkgs + splash guards, kickplates & trunk mat /first-aid

15k miles/ year for 39 mos. With scheduled maintenance plan

1st months payment + registration due at signing

monthly payment $649

Does this sound like a decent deal?

Kind of wondering if I should hold out for the new G but concerned I may get into a deeper hole with my current car if I wait. Any thoughts on this?

I have a 24 month lease for 335.71 + 9% tax. After tax that's 365.92. Nothing due at signing (other than first month's payment). This is for a 12K/year lease on a 2012 G37X AWD Sedan with premium, navi, illuminated kick plates, splash guards, and the trunk mat/first aid kit package.

I think this is a very good deal.

Good deal. I am trying to get a similar deal here in NY area, but no luck so far.

Hi officetothemax. Infiniti Financial Services' September buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36-month lease of a 2013 G37 Sedan Journey with 12,000 miles per year are .00062 and 60%, respectively for consumers who qualify for its top credit tier.

The numbers for an otherwise identical 24-month lease are .00033 and 70%.

There is no 2013 G25. Infiniti has decided to discontinue the model.

If Infiniti does things like Nissan does, these factors should be good for credit tiers 0 and 1. The factor for Tier 2 would be slightly higher, say .00040 or so...and the factor for Tier 3 would be much, much worse. A credit score of anything higher than 690 should be eligible for the best rates. 650 or so for the second best.

Hi desimartin. The negative equity that you have in your current vehicle should actually theoretically continue to decline as you get closer to paying it off. Hurrying to get into something new when you are so upside down is typically not a great idea. I usually advise consumers who are significantly upside down on their vehicles to wait to get something new.

I went into an Infiniti Dealer today in Kansas City, after reading this post I was thinking I could get a deal in the low $400 with $0 down at signing.

2012 G37x coupe with Nav
MSRP: $47,490

I understand this is a bit higher than some of the prices people have been indicating, but I was told they could not go under $630 a month with no down payment. They said with $2200 down they could go $530 and all but called me a liar for saying I had heard and expected a price in the $400s with $0 additional down at signing.

Am I missing something here?

You are leaving out some important details. What was the lease term (24, 36 or 39 months)? What was the negotiated selling price in that offer? What did they tell you was the residual?

That was on a 39 month lease. I wanted 24, but they were "trying" to give me the best price they could. Residual was 69% and it was 12k miles per year.
