Replying to: pass1over (Jun 09, 2008 12:24 pm) I am paying $449 per month (including tax) with only the first month payment ($449) and $70 registration due at signing. 23 payments remaining. 24 month lease term with 12,000 miles annually. I found this site very helpful in demonstrating the market prices for recent leases. I did not get into negotiating residual pricing, money factors, etc. I let the dealer do his job and reach my number. Based on previous posts it seems like one of the best deals out there. The dealership is in NY. Let me know if anyone wants more details. |

Hey everyone, I'm Anthony and new here, but not to forums. I currently own an 05 350Z and love it. Now i'm looking to lease a G37 for my GF and looking to get a great deal. So in doing my research on how leases work, i dissected the Nationally Advertised Lease Deal that Inifiniti is offering... 08 G37 Journey with Premium Package for $399/month (excluding tax) and $3399 due at signing ($3k down payment and $399 first months payment). It comes to be a 61% residual with a money factor of 0.0019 for qualified credit customers. MSRP of $39,615. Now, i had a few questions.... First...is this not a horrible deal?? i say this because (granted that you have the good credit rating), couldn't you really just negotiate the MSRP to a cap cost of at or around Invoice Price??? if this were possible, you wouldn't have to put money down and you would still have a cheaper payment. Am i missing something that actually makes this ad a good deal?? or do most of you agree that this is a bad deal?? (considering if you had the credit to qualify) Also, does anyone know the Credit Tier system that Inifiniti's Financial dept uses to base their APR/Money Factor??? thanx for you help, -Anthony

If you're asking what the credit tier system is for IFS, i.e. tier 1 ranges from 720+, tier 2 ranges from 6xx-7xx, etc, then search back a month or 2 as Dennis posted the ranges. If you're asking what the MF is for each tier system, then no there is not. I asked this too because I have bad credit. Basically it is on the Finance Dept to mark up the MF appropriately and because of the bad credit, different dealers can possibly provide different MF. The only thing constant would be the residual which cannot be negotiated. MF cannot be negotiated, but if you have bad credit, the numbers can differ for different dealers.

I am looking to lease a G35x sedan, with the prem, Nav, and 15000mi. If i were to put 2500 down how low do you guys think i could get the payment (*note i am a vppd customer). Right now the special at one dealership is running the following: Lease Offer - 2008 Infiniti G35x AWD, MSRP $36,025, (model 90618 with Sunroof) 24 months, 12,000 miles per year, $349/month, $2717 initial payment. Offer expires 6/30/08 * Does that model include Prem and Nav? would the montly payments be cheaper if i were to spread this out to a 36 month lease? Would it be easy to negotiate the extra miles? I have never leased a car before but the deals at infiniti are pretty good i just want to see how low i can get the payments and get the best deal. Any help is appreciated. |

Replying to: tritan84 (Jun 10, 2008 1:14 am) As was mentioned, the advertised lease special is usually not a very good deal. You need to negotiate a much lower price on the car, then apply the lease residual and MF and see where the payments stand. I HOPE you meant "help my girlfriend get a lease on a G37 which will be in her name alone" and not really meant "leasing my girlfriend a G37" as you typed. Never, never, lease something for someone else unless you are married or related to them by blood and are 100% sure they will be around for the term of the lease. If you really going to "lease he a car" I would buy her a car instead. It is a whole lot easier to get out from under a financed car if things go bad then to try to get out of a lease. Dennis |

Can someone post the lease #s for a G37 Journey. I found them earlier and can not locate them again I am looking for MF and Residual 24 month 12K miles 36 month 12K miles 39 month 12K miles Also, does anyone know a web site that lists this information? Having to dig through multiple posts to find the information takes quite a while. Thank You in advance **EDIT** Found it, if anyone would like to confirm, please feel free G35 Journey: 24-69%-.00126 36-59%-.00150 39-58%-.00173 G35 6MT: 24-68%-.00126 36-58%-.00150 39-57%-.00173 G35 AWD: 24-70%-.00131 36-60%-.00150 39-59%-.00172 G37 Journey: 24-71%-.00184 36-61%-.00192 39-60%-.00190 G37 6MT 24-73%-.00184 36-62%-.00192 39-61%-.00190 These should all be 15k residuals, it would be +1% for 12k and +2% for 10k (10k not available on 24 month leases). These should be the buy rates for IFS top tier (0 and 1) lessees. Not everyone will qualify for these rates and many Infiniti dealers routinely mark up the buy rate for extra profit.

See below the quote I have received (they are claiming it is invoice price, not certain but looks close): 2008 Infiniti G37 Sport 6MT Ivory Pearl/Stone Stock #C8113 Equipped with Trunk cargo net, Illuminated kick plates, Premium Package, Splash guards, Rear Spoiler, and Trunk mat 10k miles/year .0019 and 63% MSRP MSRP 40,945 Sales Price 37,400 (can anyone confirm this is invoice-looks diff. than carsdirect.com) Total out of pocket is 2500 made up:Your Cap cost reduction totals out to $1322.06 as $434.17 + $1322.06 + $133.77 (upfront sales tax) + $21 (title & license) + $589 (doc fee) = $2500. Lease payment is 425.19 including 7% sales tax and all fees. I do get VPP pricing plan D however think this is a few hundred cheaper. Let me know guys...
