There's simply no way around it. However, if you live in Indiana where they don't charge sales tax on the entire selling price of the car, then you are free to purchase it in illinois. I, for one, was hoping to find a way to avoid it, but unfortunately, after several calls, there's no choice (if you're a permanent resident of illinois). |

So I'm assuming many of you are leasing 08s, whether it is the g35(x) or the g37 coupe. After doing some research, I don't know any dealers in a 100 mile radius of where I live in Illinois that have any 07 g35s, but there are dealers that have a g35 coupe. Personally I'd much rather lease a coupe anyway. As a general question, do any of you see any issues or concerns with leasing a new 2007 g35 coupe (most likely will be a car demo, but some demos are never titled so it is technically a new car. this happened with my current car lease). Let me know as this not only puts me into a car that I want (an infiniti coupe), but also saves me money for obvious reasons. Let me know, thanks. |

Do you have pics of the interior of your base by any chance? Based on the ~400.00 a month, this is a route I didn't consider until I saw your post. Assuming i'm lucky enough to find a dealer that has a g37 base, I would certainly like to hear how it is without the fancy "gadgets". Thanks. |

I don't think base models come with any options or any kind. To get those, u pretty much have to move on to the journey. I went with the base for 2 reasons, the styling of the coupe and the 330hp engine. All the other stuff is great, but $400 a month fits my budget better than $450-$480 a month. At the end of the day, its still looks and sounds like a G37 so I'm happy I'll try to get some pics posted on my site of the interior soon |

I check this board often so reply back to this post when you get your pics up. I just want to thank you for opening my mind to the possibility of getting a base model coupe. Believe it or not, I never thought of that option because I always presumed that all dealers wanted to add all the bells and whistles, but the more I think about it, it just makes more sense. With my credit rating and assuming I get a similar sell price, I'll probably end up paying 480 or so just for the base because my MF will be so darn high. Thanks again and let me know when you got those up. It's good to show off your coupe anyway right?
