Hi Tezz,
Please keep in mind that this is for a BASE model of the G37. If you are shooting for the Journey, your residual will drop another 1%. With that said, the doc fee here in California is $45, which is lower than dealers some states. (some have $0 doc fee).
Now, based on your question, I went back to look at my numbers and I realized I goofed. My actual payments are $419 because I rolled in what I owed on my old car. So the calculations I posted before were based on the G37 without my trade-in rolled in. I originally put in estimated numbers on my previous post. Below are the actual numbers from my contract. So essentially I am paying about $16 bucks extra a month to get rid of my old car.

MSRP $35665
Invoice $32858
Residual $22,468.95
Sale $32895.14
MF .0019
Doc Fee: $45
Acq Fee: $595
DMV: $278
Tire Tax: $8.75
Local Tax: 8.25%
Monthly Payment: $403.26 (tax included)
Drive-Off: $1330.01

Funny it came out even lower than the $404.90 I originally estimated. Haha.
If you are leasing a Base model, then this is what you should expect, if its a Journey + Premium then its at least another $40 bucks more.

By the way, for those who have leased recently, I'd like to feature your ride on my website. If you are interested, CLICK HERE. This is all for fun, make sure you blur out your plates. If you don't know how to, I will do it for you.

If you are paying more than your first months payment when you walk out the door you are risking loosing that money if you crash, it gets stolen, or you decide to trade your lease. That is unless the money down was in the form of a refundable security deposit.

That may be true, but if you don't pay off your fees, you will be financing it at whatever IFS rate you lease on PLUS tax. Also, it is not written in stone that the security deposit will be refunded if the car is totalled or stolen. I wouldn't recommend putting a down payment on the car, but I would try to payoff some of the fees upfront instead of rolling it into the payments, but that all depends on the lease rate. If its only 2% or less, then I'd roll it. if its more, I wouldn't. IFS current doesn't offer a low enough rate to entice me to roll the fees into the payments.

I am trying to negotiate a lease for a 2008 G37 Journey coupe with premium package, navigation package and cargo net. 36 months. I received the following offer from a dealership. Any comments that anyone can give me would be much appreciated. I'm just trying to make sure I don't get "snookered." Thanks.

list price $41,175.00
sale price $37,300.00
dealer fee $499.95
bank fee $595.00
rate .00192
residual 61% ($24,516.75)
mileage 17,000 per year---51,000 total
total due at signing $3000.00 includes 1st month payment, plate transfer and fees
PAYMENT----- $473.39 INCLUDING TAX FOR 36 MONTHS
We cannot lease a car with Infiniti without a bank fee and all of cars have a dealer fee but you can see we are selling it less than your offer price of $37,781.00. This quote is for a in stock vehicle only and must be delivered by 5/31/2008.

Any deals in NJ for G37 Sport??? by joey65

Just purchased a Honda Odyssey for my wife and now looking to lease a G37 sport. I currently have a Infiniti FX35, lease ends on 9/08. Looking for a great deal to keep my monthly payments low without a down payment (just tags & 1st mth).

Was also considering the Audi A5; was told I may have a hard time finding one.

Anyone had any good deals in NJ that can share?

Thanks!

Someone in the forum mentioned they got a below invoice deal from Ray Catena Infiniti. I'm looking for the same car so plan on getting another quote from this dealer next week. Good luck with your purchase.

The A5 is a sweet car, but i'm not sure Audi is as aggressive with their rates as IFS is right now.
