Dennis,
Are the buy rate and residuals for a 2008 G35X with prem and nav for December available yet? I am not sure if I should deal now with the current rate or wait for the December numbers.
Thanks

The new numbers are not out yet since the November numbers should be good through COB today. Once the new numbers are out, the November numbers are no longer valid so you can't go back and use those. I have no idea if the December numbers will be better or worse, some of the sedan numbers for November where pretty decent, the G37 coupe numbers were terrible.

If we guess based on the sales numbers which came out today, they COULD raise the rates for December since:

The G Sedan experienced a record-setting November, with sales of 4,399 units, up 4.0 percent

from the news here: at the Nissan news site

Here are the totals for Nov 07 / Nov 06 change YTD 07 / YTD 06 change:

G Sedan 4,399 4,229 4.0 49,532 33,802 46.0

G Coupe 1,849 1,069 73.0 15,719 19,206 -18.4

So YTD the sedan is up 45% and up 4% over last November (which WAS the largest sales November for sedans prior to Nov 07) but coupes are down for YTD by 18%, but up over last November by a whopping 73%.

So they have already sold 16k more sedans this year than last, so maybe they don't need to sweeten the deals?

Do they care if 07 YTD coupes says are down compared to YTD 06? If so, then they may sweeten coupe deals to try to make up for it. Or they could figure sales are stronger now (up 73% over Nov 06) and let it sit as is.

Your guess is as good as mine, but it does not appear they will be "desperate" to move sedans in December coming off a strong November in sedans.

I have no idea. Take your negotiated price and plug in the published lease numbers (from earlier this month) into a lease calculator and see what the payments works out to be. Add the $595 bank fee and any up front fees and taxes to your price to get your cap cost.

Add in you your taxes - the rate varies from state to state and most just tax the payment, but some tax the whole car and some tax the payment but make you pay it up front. If you live in one of those states add the taxes onto the cap cost.

Then you will know your payment - with paying the first month only at signing. To get a sign and drive ESTIMATE you could multiply that payment by the term and divide by the term-1. So if $500 a month for 39 months is what it comes up and you don't want to pay the $500 at signing, then a S&D would be around $514 per month (actual payment a little higher).

I was told today the MF on a 2008 G35x with prem. and nav. is .00237 and a residual of 57% for 12K per year on a 39 month lease. The dealer told me the cost for a 36 month lease is a few dollars more. The warrenty is 4 years so I am not worried about the 39 months. MSRP is $39475 which includes an adv. fee. Invoice is 35909 and cap cost is 35669. Payment calculated to be 511.87 per month which includes taxes.
This sounds like a good deal to me. What does the Carman think?? I need to let the dealer know today. Thanks.

The November MF for a 36 month is (was) 0.00245 with a residual of 60%, so 0.00237 and 57% sound in the right ballpark. Not sure about any advertising fee, but an 08 x with prem/nav/splash/net is $39,475 including destination and $36,069 invoice. If your net cap is $35,669 and DOES NOT include any money out of your pocket, then that is an outstanding price. If you have you pay much to get it to that price, then not so good.

The only out of pocket will be bank fee, doc fee, MV fee, tire tax which all comes to $1702.98 due at signing. Now the hard part will be to wait for it.
I do want to take the time to thank you and let you know how much this forum has helped me. I cannot give you enough praise and you are an extremely valuable asset to Edmunds. Thanks again.

The bank fee should be $595, everything else sounds normal (for your location) except - how much is the doc fee? You have to add than onto your price to get the TRUE price. In other words, if you are paying $200 under invoice + $600 for a doc fee you are really paying $400 over. But unless it is just silly high, you are still within a small amount of invoice including doc fee - which should be a nice deal.
