2010 FX 35 by cassy1028

Hey Carman. My current 08 lease is up in om 12/7 month, and Im looking to buy or maybe lease the 2010. Infiniti has lease/purchase deals for the 09 which they've been running since July, but not the 10 yet. My question is, as a rule of thumb, will Infiniti offer some kind of incentive program at the end of the year on the new models, and if so, will they do it in November or wait till December? I got my 08 on 11/30/07 and they were running specials on the new models so I was wondering if this was something that was a regular occurance.

Leasing an FX35 FWD by smithmad

I am considering leasing an FX35 FWD if anyone received a really good deal in the Los Angeles area? I am trying to figure what the going money factors are right now and what the cost of the car should be and the residual value. I have a little time as my lease on my BMW is up in Feb. Should I get the 2009 now or wait until the 2010 comes out? If anyone can help that would be great. Thanks

Hey nickerbokor. OK, so if I have this right, you are considering leasing a 2009 Infiniti FX35 AWD that has an MSRP of $50,032 and a selling price of $43,139 for 42 months with 15,000 miles per year.

Let's crunch some numbers and see what we come up with. According to my calculations, the lease outlined above would have a zero down, pre-tax monthly payment of around $520.

Hi two50man. The FX35 that you described probably has a spread of a little over $4,000 between its full MSRP and its dealer invoice price. That probably puts the selling price that you were quoted at $400 to $500 over invoice. As long as you're not a loyal Infiniti customer who qualifies for the $2,000 loyalty cash that is currently available on this model, this is a very good deal.

Just make sure that the dealer uses Infiniti Financial Services' current buy rate lease money factor of .00038 (for this trim level and term) to calculate your payment and you're in business.

Hey cassy1028. Infiniti already has a decent level of support on the 2010 FX. Through the end of the year, it is offering 0.0% to 3.9% financing or $4,000 dealer cash or a special lease program on the '10 FX35.

As I said, these offers are scheduled to run through the end of the year. I don't anticipate Infiniti making any significant revisions to them in December, but one never knows for certain what an automaker will do.

Hi smithmad. The 2010 FX should already be at dealers. If I was in the market for an FX35 right now, I would comparison shop with several dealers and shoot for a selling price that's as close to dealer invoice as possible. You can look up the exact invoice price for the model that you want over in the New Vehicle Pricing section of this site.

As far as the FX's lease program goes, here's some sample numbers for you. Let me know if you are interested in a different trim level, term, or mileage allowance.

Infiniti Financial Services' current buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36 month lease of a 2009 FX35 FWD with 15,000 miles per year are .00030 and 47%, respectively.

The numbers for an otherwise identical lease of a 2010 model are .00171 and 52%, respectively.

Thanks Car_Man,

I am trying to determine if there is a benefit in getting the 2010 vs 2009. Its a new car regardless. I am pretty simple, I will end up with probably the FX35 FWD with Premium pacakge. Thanks for the information as it is a good starting point for me. I still have 2 1/2 months before my current lease is up so I am trying to get an early start. Any other advise would be appreciated.

4K on the 2010s. Wow. I hadn't heard that. It's been hard enough to find confirmation of the 5K on the 09s, but I haven't seen anything about 10s. That makes shopping the next month much more interesting….

Hi Carman:

I am in the market for a lease on a 2009 or 2010 FX35 with Nav and Premium (My guess is that the MSRP would be in the $50,000 range), 36 months, 17,000 miles/yr, Philadelphia area. What price range of monthly lease payments should I shoot for when I go to the dealer? Thanks!
