At least this program will make many dealers more motivated to move some iron as quickly as possible. Car_man Host Prices Paid: Buying & Leasing Experiences Forum |

Hi folks, Can any of you please tell me if I am getting a decent deal here for a 2009 Odyssey EX. I negotiated a lease price of $399 for a 36 month lease with 15K miles/year and 0 down. When I take possession of the car, I was told that the only thing I need to pay for is the plate cost which is about $156 in MI. The first payment of $399 will be 30 days form the time I take the car and in total there will be 35 payments. Is this a good deal? Thanks Phani

The big question is how much YOU pay for the car. In East Coast metro areas you might be able to get below 10% under invoice if you have no color preference and the car is in stock. With hold backs and other behind the scenes motivators, the $2500 incentive is clearly only part of the picture for some dealers. Again, I'm not sure what the dealer passes on to you really matters if you get the car for the lowest possible price. |

Replying to: medmdmd (Jun 10, 2009 9:22 pm) I believe the sale price is $23,7XX. I already paid the $ 500 deposit yesterday so the delaer could bring the car in for me today. Initially the dealer said I had to take what was in stock. My wife liked silver and the dealer did not have it. Later he called and said he could get a silver. If everythign works out, I will be driving with it today. I also have the purchase agreement from the delaer. Since I am transferring my title, it is a sign and drive thing. Do not have to pay even a penny and the first of 35 payments will be 30 days from today. Will keep you all posted. |

I am ready to lease an Odyssey with RES, 36 mos, 15k miles/year. I've received quotes from various dealers on Long Island, NY. The specifics of this deal are as follows: Sales price (w/ $2,500 incentive) - $29,200 Residual - 46% MF - 6% This seems to be the best I can do and others will not match the deal. I've already leased a new Pilot from this same dealer, there were no gimmicks, bait and switch or other sales tactics. Once in the dealer the transaction took about 25 mins. |

Hi Carman, Is this considered a good lease deal? Honda Odyssey EX-L(no Navi & no DVD) Total drive off is $964 and monthly payment is $456 plus tax at same 36months and 12K/miles per year. Or $1964 drive off and $427 plus tax 36 months and 12k/miles per year. 2009 model and price is $28305.00 MSRP is $33825.00 and invoice is $31005.34 Does this look right? Any way you think I can get the payments closer to $400? Thanks, Maytal
