I was just given a quote on a loaded Yukon Denali (DVD Nav, rearview camera, rear ent, heated steering wheel, 20" wheels).
MSRP: $55505
Sale Price: $51109
Term: 39mo.
Residual: 62%
Lease Rate: 7.2%
The $1750 cash allowance currently being offered is for a purchase only.
Seems that 7.2% is the base lease rate, so I'm assuming this is a go ahead deal. My GM card incentives bring the price down another $2250 to a final cap cost of $48859 (GM usually caps card redemption on the Denali at $1500, but I had a special incentive allowing it to exceed the typical redemption limit). My final lease price is in the $670 range with nothing down (pa has a 3% lease tax ON TOP of the 6% sales tax, bringing the total tax rate to 9%). Please post if you think this is a bad deal.

Hi...I am looking at a 2007 Denali. I get the supplier discount, so here is the rundown:
07 denali, nav, dvd, 2nd row bucket...MSRP 51,070. The supplier price would be 47,597.13
On a 36 month SmartBuy with 15,000 miles a year based on a Denali built to your specs. The payment would be roughly 908. a month on current SmartBuy residuals.
This seems a bit high to me? Am I wrong? I live in Houston, TX, and our tax rate is 6.25%.
TIA!!

Welcome melanie202. I am glad that you have found reading this discussion so helpful. The first thing that you need to do is figure out what price you want to pay for this truck. the selling prices of leased vehicles are negotiable, just as if you were paying cash for or financing them. I am not personally all that familiar with what the market is like for the GMC Yukon right now, but on a domestic product in a competitive market like Southern California I personally would shoot for $500 over dealer invoice. You also may be able to get an idea of how much you should pay for this truck right now by visiting the following discussion: "GMC Yukon /Yukon Denali: Prices Paid & Buying Experience". Once you have an idea of what price you want to pay, shop around with a couple of dealers for the lowest possible selling price. Make sure that the dealer that you choose to go with uses GMAC's base lease rate of 7.2% to calculate your monthly payment. If you let me know what selling price you are aiming for, I would be happy to estimate what your lease payment should be for you.

Hi monkeyshift. GMAC's current base lease rate and residual value for a 27 month lease of a GMC Yukon Denali or a 2007 Yukon XL Denali with 10,000 miles peer year are 7.2% and 69%, respectively. The numbers for an otherwise identical 39 month lease are 7.2% and 64%, respectively.
I don't believe that General Motors is currently providing any cash incentives on leases of these trucks right now.

Welcome mikeystiles. I'm glad that you have found this discussion so helpful. Unfortunately I am not aware of any cash incentives available on leases of the 2007 GMC Yukon right now. I would be happy to work up a sample lease payment on the specific truck that you are interested in for you. In order for me to do so I need you to provide me with its full MSRP and selling price. You can look up this truck's MSRP and invoice price by visiting the following section of this site: Edmunds.com - New Vehicle Pricing. Then you can either assume that you will be able to get it for $X over invoice or check out the following discussion to get an idea of how much you will have to pay: "GMC Yukon /Yukon Denali: Prices Paid & Buying Experience". Let me know what these prices are and I'll crunch some numbers for you.

Welcome aboard aron2. I assume that the price that you mentioned, $46,312.53, is this truck's selling price. If so, what is its MSRP? You should be able to find it on your lease contract. Having both numbers will show me how much of a discount you were given and it will enable me to use GMAC's lease program to estimate what your monthly payment should have been. Let me know and I'll tell you what I think.

Congratulations on getting your new truck, moose08. It looks like you got a great deal. You're right the customer cash that GM is offering on the Yukon right now is now available on leases through GMAC and 7.2% is GMAC's current base lease rate for this model. Thanks for taking the time to share the details of your deal with everyone. Enjoy your new ride!

Hello Jeni. The fact that you are able to purchase this truck through GM's supplier purchase program means that you are getting it for a good price. Let's use GMAC's current lease program to estimate what its monthly payment should be. According to my calculations, if you were to lease a 2007 GMC Yukon Denali that has an MSRP of $51,070 and a selling price of $47,598 through GMAC right now for 48 months with 15,000 miles per year, your zero down, pre-tax monthly payment should be around $661. If you were to lease this truck for only 36 months, its payment should be around $706. These are for GM's SmartLease program, not its SmartBuy program. Given how much lower the payment that I came up with is than the one that you were quoted you may be better off going with a lease than a balloon note on this truck.
