Hello Car_man,
I'm interested in the new 2007 Escalade AWD. Is it a good time to lease one now or should I wait? Also what kind of deal do you think I could get on the car since it's so new? Can I get the dealership to lease it at close to invoice price?
- Thanks

Also Car_man are you familiar with GMC's Smart Lease? What can you tell me about it?

Hello jbratx. Right now probably is not the best time to lease a 2007 Escalade. I've heard that GM's redesigned full-size SUVs have been very well received by the public and dealers are getting good grosses on them right now. The problem is that I don't think that the Escalade's prices are going to come down much nor do I think that its lease program will get significantly better in the next couple of months. So if you have an immediate need for a new vehicle, there's probably not much reason to wait a month or two. If you can wait much longer than that, you might get a better deal.

Hey jbratx. I am very familiar with GMAC's SmartLease program. "SmartLease" is basically GM's brand name for its normal lease program. For general information about how lease programs work, check out the following articles: 10 Steps to Leasing a New Car and Calculate Your Own Lease Payment. If you have any more specific questions about it, let me know and I'll try to answer them for you.

I went to the GM/Cad/Chrysler dealership in Kellogg,Idaho...Dave Smith Motors..They will sell a 2007 Escalade or Yukon Denalie (regular lenght, XL or ESV) for a couple of hundred under cost...and the rates on wells fargo leases are pretty low..they are the largest chry. dealership in the usa(they say) but they are willing to move as many cars out as they can for invoice or less...i am ordering an ESV 2007 Escalade...hope this helps

Man, $66,000 for a vehicle that gets 19 (AT BEST) MPG on the highway? The tires are so big and top heavy looking that I wouldn't want to be caught dead in this vehicle if evasive driving is called for. For if I wasn't dead yet I soon would be.
