Looking for Lease info by flightnurse

I'm starting to look for another car, have always liked the CTS, so I'm letting my fingers do the looking..

This is the numbers I have found.

07 CTS w/Bose edition and 18" wheel Performance package
white diamond exterior and Cashmere interior
MSRP is $37,025
Invoice $34,300
TMV $34,690
minus $ 3,000

So in theory I could get this car for $31,690. I see that GM has no lease specials for this car, so with the following # could you please give me lease quotes.

Say price of car is $34,300, minus 3K with zero out of pocket. For 24 and 36 month lease, with 15K/yr.

Thanks

Car Man
I just put 50,000 miles on my 06 Accord in my new job. Exactly 12 months ago next week I took out a 60 month loan. I now need a bigger car for the road.
2 questions:
(1) The best road vehicle? Cadillac STS/DTS, Lincoln Town Car, Chrysler 300c, Lexus 460 or GS330h, or even Toyota Avalon.
(2) Whatever I get will have 150,000 miles in 3 years….. Should I lease or buy?

the kind of car for you is ALL objective.... You need to do some leg work and check them out yourself..

Now regarding leaseing, I would RUN from a lease if you plan on driving 150K miles in 3 yrs. As far as trade in goes when cars have over 100K there isn't much value there. The best thing to do it pay cash for a car if you can.

Thanks for the input. At 50,000 miles per year I will stay away from a lease. However, cash is not an option. It's either a straight loan or GM smartbuy. Any preference?

CTS-V lease question by jayhawk63

Car Man,

This is the numbers I have been quoted from emails.

07 CTS-V
MSRP is $53,470
Invoice $49,099
TMV $49,473
minus $ 3,000
Tags,fees,taxes $2100

I am assuming I can get the car for $46,473, including 3K cash allowance. My trade in would decrease my taxes to $1K and another ~$300 for fees and $750 for tags. Could you please give me a lease quote for 24 and 36 month lease, with 12K/yr.

Thanks,
Craig

Car Man,

Do you still patrol this forum? Any news on Cadillac CTS-V lease numbers? Cap cost? Money factor for 36 or 48 month leases?

Thanks,
Craig

Hi qwazr. GMAC's current base lease rate and residual value for a 36 month lease of a 2007 Cadillac CTS 3.8L with 10,000 miles per year are 3.95% and 56%, respectively. The $1,700 lease cash is available on all Bose Edition CTS models. The $1,000 conquest cash is available to all owners of non-GM vehicles. These two offers can be combined. I don't believe that GM is currently offering any loyalty cash on the '07 CTS.

Hi felbie1. If you are able to get this car through General Motors' supplier purchase program, then you should be getting a good deal on it. I doubt that you will be able to do better than the supplier deal by negotiating on your own. GMAC's 39 month lease rate is the same as its 36 month rate, but its 39 month residual value is 1% lower.

Hi flightnurse. General Motors is running a special lease program on the 2007 Cadillac CTS right now. Unfortunately, the $3,000 consumer cash that you mentioned is not compatible with GMAC's special lease program for this model. Having said this, GM is providing $1,700 lease cash on Bose Edition CTS models plus an additional $1,000 conquest incentive for current owners of non-GM vehicles. GMAC's current base lease rate for the '07 CTS is 3.95%. You can plug the above information, along with the prices that you were quoted into the formula that is outlined in the following article to work up a sample payment on this car: Calculate Your Own Lease Payment.

Hi mb6. Why do you need a bigger car? If I was in your situation, I personally would rather drive the Accord into the ground than get something new. Unless you made a very large down payment on your loan, you are likely very upside down on a one year old Accord that already has 50,000 miles on it. It will be much less expensive for you to continue to drive you Accord for another couple of years than it would be to pay off any money that you are upside down on it and then put a ton of miles on a more expensive vehicle. I definitely would not lease if I drove 50,000 miles per year.
