Not sure what the residual is for the 07 models.

Residuals for a 3yr/35K lease on a 2008 3.0 is currently 58%.

And pursuit, yes, the current owner loyalty program ends on Jan 2. Nobody has any idea whether they will extend it. If they tip their hap too early, they'll lose out on last minute sales in December, so I suspect no one will know until Jan 3rd

The residual on a 3yr/36k lease is not 58% but 60%.

Apologies, that was a typo and I didn't even answer the question that was asked...

The residual for a 36 month/*45K* mile lease is 58% - there is no such thing as a 35K/year lease (duh).

x5 residual rates by chrisjur

And just to further clarify, the 2008 rates (non-owner loyalty program) are:

2008 BMW X5 3.0si 4WD SUV
24 Month – Residual 68% of MSRP – .00275 Base Rate
36 Month – Residual 58% of MSRP – .00275 Base Rate
48 Month – Residual 44% of MSRP – .00310 Base Rate
60 Month – Residual 36% of MSRP – .00310 Base Rate

2008 BMW X5 4.8i 4WD SUV
24 Month – Residual 68% of MSRP – .00275 Base Rate
36 Month – Residual 58% of MSRP – .00275 Base Rate
48 Month – Residual 40% of MSRP – .00310 Base Rate
60 Month – Residual 33% of MSRP – .00310 Base Rate

These are for 15K miles/year. Add 2% to Residual for 12k mi/yr and 3% for 10k miles per yearr on all terms.

Is this a good deal for an '08 X5 3.0? by rliu818

This is the best the dealer will offer here in California for a '08 X5 3.0:

MSRP: $51,225
10K miles/yr. (our preference)
$1,969 drive-off
$678.01/mo. including tax

Note: this is with the reduced MF since I am a returning BMW customer.

Do you guys think I can do significantly better or am I just fighting for pennies at this point?

This is exactly the deal I got in the Bay Area and I shopped at 12 Dealers!! My sales tax rate is 8.75, if your's is lower the difference may be 5 bucks at most.

Finally pulled the trigger on an 07 X5 by izmirian

All,

On December 28th, finally I pulled the trigger on a monaco blue fully loaded 07 X5. Everything started when I decided to get the new infiniti suv ex35 because of it's techy features. I wanted a fully loaded one and price went up to 46K. I said to myself I can easily get a base + tech package bmw x5 and at the end of the day I would be driving a bmw instead of a nissan. I'm a big bmw fan and I have a 325ci in my garage as well. Anyways, 07s had really good deals and very little difference with 08s. So I decide to go with this one. It's much more than what I was aiming for but what the hell. I'll living it up. It's amazing. Here is a full list of features it has on the car.

I leased at invoice minus 2500 lease cash with .0023 mf and threw in 2K to bring my monthly payments to $650. (10k miles) Can't get better than that. I love the car. I went to buffalo, ny for new years eve. On the way back I drove through a snow storm without any problems.

Just wanted to share my experience.

36 Month/15K mile X5 3.0si Deal in Pittsburgh, PA? by ostexo
Jan 08, 2008 (8:18 pm)
Reply
Hello,

As a new user to the forum and a prospective X5 buyer I would greatly appreciate it if I could get some input as to this deal one dealer is offering us on a 2008 X5 3.0si in the Pittsburgh PA area: The vehicle includes:

Cold Weather Package
Premium Package
Rear Climate Package
iPod and USB adapter

MSRP $51,625

Sell for $49,300

15K miles per year

36 Months

58% Residual

$0 Down

Total initial charges are:

Disposition fee: $350.00
Security Deposit: $900.00
Acquisition Fee: $625.00
Fees and Insurance: $158.50
Upfront Taxes: $62.50

Total Initial Charges: $2599.85

Base Payment: $776.23
Total Payment: $853.85 per month

This vehicle is on their lot, so there isn’t a dealer trade situation or custom order issue. The MSRP reduction seemed a little low to me and the initial fees don’t look right to me, although I will have no problem paying for them if they are legitimate fees. Any comments would be very helpful. Thanks in advance.

Hi pursuit. What you were told appears to be correct. I do not believe that BMW is providing a special money factor reduction on the 2008 X5 for returning lessees this month. BMW Financial Services' January buy rate lease money factor and residual value for 36 month lease of a 2008 X5 3.0si with 15,000 miles per year are .00270 and 58%, respectively. Non-returning BMW FS customers who want to have their security deposit waived will have to pay .00015 more than this.
