Residuals posted are for 15K miles/year. Add 2% to Residual for 12k mi/yr and 3% for 10k mi/yr on all terms

Use the following formula to calculate a lease payment:

(Cap Cost – Residual Value) / Term = Depreciation
(Cap Cost + Residual Value) X Money Factor = Interest
Depreciation + Interest = Base Monthly Payment

is this at Morristown BMW? I am asking since a few months ago I recall a CA there emailing me about a similar car when I was looking. I think you should see the best deal you could get on a NEW 535xi similarly equipped. People are getting good deals and there is alot of competition in NJ since there are so many dealers. Also if you want an XI who is looking to buy those in the Spring?

Good Luck and let us know how you make out!

I have been offered a 2008 535i lease that they are quoting a 24 month residual of 73% and a money factor of .023. Does this sound correct.

The MF quoted makes sense as long as you understand that the dealer has bumped is up by .0004, the maximum that they can increase it by. This increase can be negotiable depending on the dealer.

I do understand they bumped up the money factor but it also looks like they bumped up the residual. Will one offset the other?

The 73% residual is correct for 24mo/24K miles...

The 24mo/30K residual is 71%..

The dealer can't change these numbers.. they are set by BMWFS

BMWFS Base Rates by weirvinejr

I am being told by a dealer in Atlanta that the April 2008 BMWFS buy rate of 0.0019 can only be obtained by returning BMW customers. Is this true? He's quoting a 0.00285 rate.
Thanx

You are being taken for the typical ATL dealer ride.

Call BMW in Macon or Athens and talk to their internet guys. They can pull the car out of the ATL dealer and save you $.
