BMW 328i Pricing! by htownpimp786

I was trying to understand the market for buying a car right now in terms of pricing!

I am looking at purchasing a 2009 BMW 328i sedan in Houston, TX.

I was told by the dealership I visited that any 3 series sedan can be had for 3% OVER invoice. He said on average there is a 7% mark-up on those vehicles and he would let me take my pick at anything they have for 3% over invoice.

Is that reasonable? I have seen others on the forum say that they are getting cars at invoice or below for the 2009 models? What should I be looking at paying for this car?

I was looking to finance and take advantage of the 0.9% for 60 months with them paying for the first 2 car payments! Are there any benefits to leasing in terms of the PRICE of the car (any rebates or etc for leasing?)

Please HELP! =)

hmmmm, I just had a thought, is that sales tax at 8.25 gonna stay there even when the taxes go to almost 10% on apr 1st?

also if I am leasing a bmw now (2007 3 series) and its almost up, but my lease somehow went to USBANK instead of bmw financial, do I still qualify as a returning lessee?

your deal seems good lihkin, may follow suit by adding sports pack and subtracting a few other things to come out at around $44k

of course what I would really like is the 328 convertible, but those things seem pricey..... cant seem to get away for less than 700-800 per month with decent options....

Help for residuals/lease rates for 335i convertible 2009??? by darryl_bmw

Can someone please give me the latest residual values for the 2009 335i convertible? I am looking for 12k miles/36 months and am looking to do ED in late June. I am currently leasing a 330i so will be eligbile for loyalty cash/rates. Can someone tell me if I am eligible for the loyalty cash on this car? How about the financing deals (pay for up to 2 months)? Anyone have the latest residuals and MF rates (for Chicago and for Florida, where I am based)? I head that they improved the March rates just recently ... is this true? Should I look for about ED wholesale +1500 dealer profit?
Thanks!

You should look at your paper work for the 2007. I bet your lease is signed with US bank and from BMW perspective, all they did back in 2007 was sold you a car.. You never have any relationship with BMW financial and not qualify for the return leasee.. Good luck..

Hey Guys,

If I start my lease in March (before the CA sales tax increase in April) is it locked it in at 8.25% for the duration of the lease??

Hey Guys,

What is the current money factor and residual factor on a 335i sedan at 10k/yr, 3 yr. lease in California?

I'm also interested in the answer to this.. I'm afraid it may be 8.25% only for March and then 9.25% every month thereafter since you pay sales tax each month and not in one lump sum like you do in a purchase.

Doubtful... tax is collected each month, not in advance..

When the rate goes up, your tax will likely increase, as well...

do your homework, thoroughly. there are good deals to be had...i just got a '09 328i, monaco blue at invoice flat (inclusive of MACO and training)...no money down. as you suggest, you absolutely want to know MSRP and invoice, residual %, and money factor. you can easily calculate your monthly. how does this dealer get to $368 / mo? do the math...what are they jamming you with. money down is ridiculous on a lease.
