Hi there. Would anyone care to check my math, so I can make sure I'm getting the correct deal? 2007 335i, sports, premium, nav, ipod. MSRP = $46,900 Sales Price = $44,395 36 month/15k 61% residual .00175 MF CA, so 8.25% tax. By my calculations, my monthly should be $612.97, or with 7 MSDs, $574.24. Is my math correct, and is the price decent ($700 over invoice including a MACO). Thanks! |

Is the "destination charge" listed on the BMW website when one purchases a vehicle the same terminology as the "acquisition fee" on my BMWFS leasing contract? I believe it is, but want to verify. Thanks.

Replying to: hpowders (Sep 27, 2007 3:24 pm) The destination charge is part of the MSRP (and, it's on the invoice, too). Supposedly, it is to provide transportation from port to dealer, but really, it is just a way to break down the price of the car, so the base price seems smaller. The acquisition fee goes to the bank that is leasing you the car (BMWFS). Sort of like an origination fee for a mortgage lender. The base acq.fee on all BMWFS leases is $625, but the dealer can mark it up to as much as $825 for extra profit (for the dealer). regards, kyfdx

Replying to: kyfdx (Sep 27, 2007 3:34 pm) So one must figure up to $1175 in fees unique to BMW leasing if one must pay the "full" $825 acquisition fee (as many dealers seem to insist on the max.) plus the $350 "disposition fee." I think I see where the "free" maintenance comes from on the leasing end. Heh! Heh! Thank you, KYFDX! |
