BMW Lease Questions by mdiver65

Hi all,

I'm looking at leasing a BMW and will be passing along numbers soon. Two questions before I begin my hunt though.

1. With leases from BMW, is all maintenance included (3 years)?

2. If I move, can I return my car to a different dealership upon the end of lease (Phoenix to Seattle)?

Thank you!!

Mark

I take it you didn't get ANY discount. Even though the car is in "demand", there are dealers who will discount the car. The money factor and residual for 36 months and 15k miles is .00175 and 58%. Knowing Crevier, they will mark up the money factor. My suggestion is to shop around until you get the terms you want. If you already ordered the car, why don't you know any of your terms?

the dealership ordered it for me with out getting a deposit or me having to commit to anything. They simply ordered a car on word of mouth since i was a past customer

Vonrauss:

I have been trying to establish relationships with internet departments, but my inquiries go no where. I get form emails back and little if any response to my follow-up emails. Is there any approach (or even specific dealership) that you can recommend me to here in So Cal?

Thanks.

Certain dealerships are more inclined to respond to an e-mail inquiry than others. If you are getting little-to-no response, I recommend calling them and spending a couple of minutes on the phone (this is what they want you to do, because the powers of persuasion are greater on the phone). Tell them that you are VERY busy, and in-and-out of meetings all day, and that your preferred method of correspondence is e-mail. Once you engage them a couple of times, they should become comfortable with using e-mail instead of phone...

That being said, at the dealership where I ended up closing the deal I dealt almost exclusively over the phone. As long as you don't go in there an see them face-to-face, it shouldn't make that big of a difference when compared to e-mail. The main point is that you need to deal with the internet department only! So once you get that "generic" response with someone's name, call that person.

I recommend using something like Autobytel.com to set up you initial inquiries...

How about 36 mo/10k mi?

Where do you get this information from (if you are allowed to say). I just want to give the dealer a solid basis for wanting the mf above. I appreciate all of your assistance.

Need Urgent Help! 2007 328i Coupe for Lease by bmwfan07

I got a final offer for 328i coupe (sports, power seats, metallic, bmw assist):
MSRP: $40,490
Inv: $37870 ($37,310 orig. inv price + $380 MACO + $180 training fee) Is this normal to add the MACO advertising fee $380 and BMW training fee $180 to the invoice price?
Selling price: $38,870 (not including acq. fee)
Sales tax: 8.25%
Terms: 36/12K
Residual: 60%
Money Factor: Didn't say but I calculated to be around 0.00145
Zero Down
Zero deposit (current bmw customer)

Lease payment: $535.38 (incldg tax) monthly
Drive off in cash: $1800 (this includes acquisition fee $825 plus tax, tire fee $8.75, doc fee $45, 1st payment $535.38, and registration fee $318).
They are charging me $825 instead of the normal $625 for the acq. fee.

What do you think? $535.38/mth and $1800 drive off cash??? Can I negotiate further? NEED ANSWER ASAP!

Thank you!

I think you miss calculated. The monthly payment is too high. What is the lease for, 36 month?

I agree with tcn2k. You can definitely do better.

To give you an idea, I bought a 328i sedan fully loaded (Premium, Navi, Xenons, etc) and put significantly less down, and my monthly payment is less than your's.

Ya the lease is for 36 mths. Yah, I realized the payment was too high. What do you guys think I should negotiate for? $500 including tax/mth or even lower? I don't have much time or choice...

Thanks!
