has anyone leased a new audi a4 in the northern nj area? im 19 and will be paying for most, if not all, of my payment and have fallen IN LOVE with the 2009 a4. im trying to find a real good deal but dont intend on putting any money down and would be doing a 36 month lease. i wanted the 19" sport package but heard it had a long delay on it, so the only option i would be getting is the ipod interface thing any info would be great |

I got these quotes from two different chicagoland dealers. First Quote: 2009 audi a4 2.0t premium + MSRP $37,525 36 months 12,000 miles Cash Due at Signing $4,196 $580.00 mo. Second Quote: a4 2.0t premium + $37,550 36 mo. 12K mi Tax & Lic Due Res. 58% mf .00235 $630.00 mo. These seem really high. Any suggestions on appropriate pricing and/or negotiating? |

Residual varies by trim and is the most important piece of the lease puzzle. If a residual is high, you can lease a more expensive car for less..that's how it works. I've had a 2009 A4 2.0TQ P+ with Nav for 2 weeks now. What I paid: A4 2.0TQ Premium + $40,025 36 mo. 12K mi $2K downpayment to cover Tax/Lic/Fees/cap reduction I also got a 3% cap cost reduction as a discount Res was 57% I believe Total came out to $614/mo. I added AudiCare and Wheel package which brought it up to around $650. BTW...the $2k was my deposit for the pre-order since I ordered the car back in June so technically the day I did the deal I didn't spend a penny

I hope this is the appropriate forum for this post... I have a leased 07 A4 that I'll be turning in on Dec 2. I already scheduled the lease end inspection with SGS. There are a few issues with the car that I suspect I may be charged for. One is that one of the underside plastic panels got damaged and when I took it into the dealer they said it needed to be replaced but that I should just do it at the end of the lease since it was an area that's prone to damage from curbs etc given the a4's low body frame. So, they actually removed the panel and gave it to me (it was dragging on the ground). My question is this: if the SGS inspector doesnt crawl under the car and see it, am I free of my obligation to fix it if they find it at a later date, i.e. when I turn the vehicle in? I know they could claim it happened after the inspection, but I was told by a friend to take some pics of it and anything else before the inspection with a newspaper in the photos to prove the damage already existed on a date before the inspection. Also, is it worth it to spend $150 getting the car detailed before the inspection (there are a number of small scratches and one long scratch on the side that I suspect a detailer won't be able to get out), or should I just wash it myself and maybe buy a $10 bottle of quick detail and leather cleaner and do a little myself? Thanks in advance for any thoughts! |

Replying to: bchan88us (Sep 24, 2008 1:09 pm) I'm sure if I had waited I could have gotten a better deal. If saving money is important, this is not the time to buy/lease an A4, that's a no brainer. I'm actually quite happy with the deal I got. No regrets.

Replying to: mobilehavoc (Sep 25, 2008 3:56 pm) So long as you are happy with your deal and have no regrets, then you made a deal that's good for you. But for others who visit this board, I think it's fair for them to hear from others who disagree. Personally, I'm with bchan88us on this. I LOVE the new A4. But I don't think any A4 should cost anyone $600+/mo. Now, give me an S4 (or better yet, an RS4), and that's an entirely different story... Anyway, enjoy your new car. I'm hoping pricing is better in December when my current lease expires... |
