Car_man, I was offered the following lease and I am trying to determine whether to get the car by the end of December or wait to see what the money factor will be in January. I live in the Philadelphia area. Details are: 42 month lease/12,000 miles per year $1,500 out of pocket Selling price of approximately $39,000 (still negotiating this) Money factor - .0017 Residual - 56% Monthly payment was quoted at $527 and change including tax My questions are (i) whether the money factor above is attractive by historical standards for the MDX, and (ii) am I better off waiting until January to see if the money factor drops lower (and maybe the residual will increase)? Thank you in advance for your help. |

We are looking into leasing an '06 MDX for my wife that graduated in May and I am trying to find out what kind of recent grad program Honda Financial is offering on this vehicle. The website says to see your dealer and my dealer referred me to the website and I told them the website told me to see the dealer...and so on(I was tired of being passed from manager to manager and hung up). I think I will find a different dealer. Thanks

Replying to: kelvestto (Dec 24, 2005 12:19 pm) Also, you never mentioned the selling price or MSRP of the truck that you are interested in leasing. These are important numbers for you as a consumer to know for two reasons. First, the selling prices of leased vehicles can be negotiated, just as if you were paying cash for them. Without knowing this truck's selling price in relation to its MSRP you don't know how much of a discount you are getting on it. The second reason is that one needs the selling price and MSRP, including the destination charge, of a vehicle to calculate its lease payment. I would be more than happy to give you my opinion of this deal if you let me know what these numbers are. Car_man Host Smart Shopper / Prices Paid Forums |
