Hey jlwalter. The lease money factor that you were quoted is right in line with Honda Finance's current buy rate lease money factor for this model. This is a good thing. It's difficult for me to give you my opinion on this deal without knowing this truck's full MSRP and selling price though.

06' MDX base lease by vickat

Hi guys,
I never leased a car before. Got Premium (base) MDX'06 lease offer as $398/month, 42 months, $2000 down. Got no intention of buying it out at the end of lease. Purchase price was quoted at $34,400 before taxes. Are these lease/purchase figures competitive in NJ/NY?
many thanks - vickat

I have a question...I found a very nice 2005 Acura MDX Touring Nav DVD with 9,500 miles and looks like new. The price in the window (not original sticker) is $44000. My question is what would be a good price for this since it's a demo with 9500 miles.

Car_man,

I was offered the following lease and I am trying to determine whether to get the car by the end of December or wait to see what the money factor will be in January. I live in the Philadelphia area. Details are:

42 month lease/12,000 miles per year
$1,500 out of pocket
Selling price of approximately $39,000 (still negotiating this)
Money factor - .0017
Residual - 56%
Monthly payment was quoted at $527 and change including tax

My questions are (i) whether the money factor above is attractive by historical standards for the MDX, and (ii) am I better off waiting until January to see if the money factor drops lower (and maybe the residual will increase)? Thank you in advance for your help.

You're leaving out some important information. What was your agreed upon price for the MDX? In other words, what did you pay for the car? And what was your money lease factor and residual value? This will help decide whether or not this is a good deal.

We are looking into leasing an '06 MDX for my wife that graduated in May and I am trying to find out what kind of recent grad program Honda Financial is offering on this vehicle. The website says to see your dealer and my dealer referred me to the website and I told them the website told me to see the dealer...and so on(I was tired of being passed from manager to manager and hung up). I think I will find a different dealer.
Thanks
