I have just been getting some inconsistent answers from Acura dealers in the Los Angeles area, re Honda Finance a) No 36 month lease- nly a 39 month term available b) Residual for a Tech package for 12,000 miles / 39 month has been anywhere from 48% to 52%. And for the base anywhere from 49% to 53%. What are the real numbers? c) The money factor has been consistently 0.00250   Car_man, could you please help with the actual numbers for 36 (or 39) months, 12k miles/yr for Tech and Base?   Thanks a ton. Hi carman -i will be coming out 2006 base MDX lease in may/june this year ...i current have a 12,000 mile allowance and a payment of 480 ( i believe i originally put down $1200)...i will have about 30,000 miles on the MDX when it is returned...i am hoping through the Honda loyalty program and curious if they make a consideration on lower miles returned on the car then anticipated...I dont want to move any new money into the lease but would like to be at the same monthly of 480....has anyone out there come close to a deal like that??? or am i dreaming...thanks (i am located in SE PA...dealt with the west chester dealership Replies to this message: bigblueindy1 (Feb 17, 2009 9:01 pm) Car_man (Feb 18, 2009 4:09 am)

April is the start of a new quarter. Honda Finance will likely publish new residual values then. Generally speaking, vehicles' residual values decline as the model year progresses, particularly in the current environment. I suspect that the MDX's residual values will indeed fall by a point or two in April.   As far as March goes, I personally expect Acura's lease program on this truck to be at least the same as its current program, if not better. Word on the street is that February is shaping up to be as bad, or possibly even worse than January was for light vehicle sales in the U.S. If that is the case, I don't see how Acura could reduce its support on this model and it might even increase it. I believe that the original proposal to stimulate auto sales, making interest on auto loans tax deductible, was scaled back in the final version of the plan to only allow the deduction of state sales tax, not interest. I personally doubt that this measure will do much, if anything to stimulate auto sales. It certainly wouldn't push me any closer to buying a new vehicle if I was on the fence about whether to do so.   According to the latest information that I have seen, Acura has not made any enhancements to its lease program on the 2009 MDX in February.   Car_man Host Prices Paid: Buying & Leasing Experiences Forum

The money factor for an otherwise identical 39 month lease is the same, but its residual value is 49%.   When negotiating your lease on this truck, make sure to take the $2,000 dealer cash that is currently available on it into account.
