What are the residual values and money factor for a 2009 MDX with Tech Package on a 39 month lease with 10k miles per year (super preferred credit tier)?

Does not look like a good deal..

In 39 months you will be spending 39*748 = $29172 + first pmt = 29920

Now lets say you BUY a NEW 2009 tech ent for $43K 2.9% for 5 years
your payment will be 770.74 per month at the end of 39 months you would have paid 39*770.74 = 30508.86 That is 138.86 above what you would have paid for lease...
[Invoice for MDX Tech ent is ~42.5K, HAFC is running low apr rate of 2.9% for 5 years]

So if you are able to sell your 3 year old MDX for at least 138.86 and can afford 22.74 per month then BUYING makes more sense..

AM I MISSING SOMETHING HERE? Numbers appears OK... Hope I am right

...and you can get an MDX Tech Ent for 40,100 which makes buying an even better option.

I just got a quote on a 39 month lease, 10k miles per year, $1,990 down 51% residual and a money factor of 0.0032. MSRP=$47350 and he told me he would price the car at $41,400. This all equates out to $650 per month. I am in Dallas, Texas.

Does anyone know if this is a good deal or not?

Thanks for your help!

I just picked up a 2009 MDX (Standard Edition) for $499.00 for 39 months with 15,000 miles/year with $3,500 down. I think I got a really good deal, if anyone wants the salesmen info let me know and I'll send it over.

Thanks for the offer Pete but right now Acura has a leasing special for the base model for $499/month with about $3000 down. I think the special on the model w/tech package is about $569/mo.

Hi gvitalik1. Let's take a look at the deal that you were offered. The money factor that you were quoted is right in line with Honda Finance's January buy rate for this model. That is a good sign because it means that the dealer isn't trying to make any hidden, back-end profit on your deal by marking your truck's money factor up.

The other main profit center for dealers on leases is the selling price. The dealer invoice price of a base 2009 MDX is $37,830. If one subtracts the $2,000 dealer cash that Acura is providing on this model from that, it comes to around $35,830. The selling price that you were quoted is even lower than that, so it is an excellent deal.

If you like the MDX, I personally don't see any reason not to pull the trigger on this deal.

Hi fieldse. Honda Finance's current buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 39 month lease of a 2009 Acura MDX with the Tech Package and 10,000 miles per year are .00250 and 50%, respectively for consumers who qualify for its top aka "Super Preferred" credit tier.

When negotiating your lease on this truck, make sure to take the $2,000 dealer cash that Acura is currently providing on it into account. It will help you to negotiate an attractive capitalized cost.
