current money factor 2009 mdx by gtreger

i was quoted a .0025 money factor for a 39 month lease on an MDX with technology package. This is significantly higher than what was discussed on this board in december and was apparently available through January 5th. Can anyone confirm that this is the correct money factor and that the dealer is not trying to squeeze some profit from me here.

By the way for this car i was quoted $38,290 + 760 destination (MSRP 45,600) plus processing and tax and tags. This includes the $2k price incentive and a .9% 3 yr loan is available for purchase.

39 month and 42 month Leases by dima1

Thank you qtreqer,

My current lease for 2006 MDX is 42 month. At that time the money factor and residual was the same for 36, 39, and 42 month. That made a 42 month lease very attractive because of the lower payment.
I would like to see if that is the case right now.

Car Man: Can you please post the money factor and residual on a 36 month 15k miles per year for the 2009 Base model and Tech model when you get them?

Thanks

gtreger,

I got the same money factor of .0025. It's up from December. The lease rates are worse but they are making up for at least some of it by extending the 1500 dealer lease incentive to 2000. Also, the residual on 39 mo lease is .49 and .5 on a 36 month lease for 12k miles a year.

I was quoted $180 higher than you for the same mdx with tech.

Hi smilsom. Honda Finance's January buy rate lease money factor for the 2009 Acura MDX is .00250 for consumers who qualify for its top aka "Super Preferred" credit tier. In addition to this special money factor, Acura is providing $2,000 dealer cash on this model. Its residual values vary by trim level, term, and mileage allowance.

Hi acurafamily. This truck's lease payment will depend upon how low a selling price you are able to negotiate on it. For now, I will assume a selling price of $500 over dealer invoice minus the available $2,000 dealer cash. According to my calculations, if you were to lease a 2009 Acura MDX with the Tech and Entertainment Packages that has an MSRP of $47,350 and a selling price of $41,590 through Honda Finance right now for 24 months with 12,000 miles per year, your zero down, pre-tax monthly payment would be around an astonishing $799.

You may want to consider leasing for 36 months. Doing so would drop this truck's payment to around $661.

Yes, dima1, Honda Finance's 39 and 42 month residual values are different than its 36 month residual. Honda Finance's current buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 39 month lease of a base 2009 Acura MDX with 15,000 miles per year are .00250 and 49%, respectively for consumers who qualify for its "Super Preferred" credit tier.

Hi gtreger. Unfortunately, the .00250 money factor that you were quoted is Honda Finance's new buy rate for this model for the month of January. I believe that its residual values dropped this month as well. The only improvement that Acura made to the MDX's program was to raise its lease cash from $1,500 to $2,000.

Hi sluurrpee. Honda Finance's current buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36 month lease of a base 2009 Acura MDX with 15,000 miles per year are .00250 and 50%, respectively for consumers who qualify for its "Super Preferred" credit tier. The numbers for an otherwise identical lease of an '09 MDX Tech are .00250 and 48%.

When negotiating your lease on this truck, make sure to take advantage of the $2,000 cash incentive that is currently available on it.
