This sounds like a decent deal, ravkingnyc. To get a better understanding, what's the MSRP, the purchase price of the car, and miles allowance? If you can also post the residual and the money factor for the lease, it would be great.
Contrary to some other comments, you did the right thing by not having a cap cost reduction. If you total the car, you'll never see your cap cost reduction money back. For the same reason, however, it's better to roll taxes into the payment instead of paying them upfront.

You total the car you dont see the upfront tax money again either. The downside is the same. The difference is if the 1400 was put as cap cost you would have a lower payment because your paying taes and interest on a lower number. That is math 101 bro.

That's I thought.....the total miles is 12,000, I don't have the paperwork in front of me right now, but I believe the sticker was 45797.00 ('cause i added running boards, roof rack, and power tail), and the lease was based on 39,400 ish, the residual is approx. $24,000, and the money factor was .0018--- I don't have the paperwork with me so these numbers are raw...........
I actually did not use this forum for any negiogation ideas so I wioll not thank anyone like njpatherfinder for their brillance in car deals....i just called 3 dealers, asked for price, and then let the wolves eat their own....the final dealer gave me the $495.00 with Tech and I added the boards, rails, and power tailgate.....he actually sold me the boards and rails at their 36 month residual cost of $200, not dealer cost of $495, or retail cost of $795......
I guess they are trying to give these things away ....they had a parking lot full of MDX's and a trailer full that was not even unloaded....
Open Road in Wayne & Park Ave Acura couldn't believe the deal
good luck to those getting MDX's ....hope you can use this deal to lower your dealer cost

i would have saved $120.00.....that sure is life changing savings....but that got washed away because they gave me 4 free oil changes because i signed on saturday...thanks for the lesson in Math 101 bro....don't get hurt trying to pat yourself on your back because you can do simple math

The $120 is not life altering but it was fun to put it up in your grill since you wanted to be annoited or something. Truth is without the forum you would have been bent over so far your turban would have fell off...

The reason you guys aren't seeing that price is becasue Ravqueen is misleading you with fuzzy math and leaving out key details. She's got at least 3 g's out of pocket, not "just fees".

I know the $1,000 lease cash is available until 7/7/08 - does anyone know if the residuals will stay the same until then, or will they drop as of 7/1/08? If they are going to drop as of 7/1, it would make sense to do a deal by 6/30 - if not, I'd like to do the deal in early July.
