Of course, no notification, I discovered this by chance. I spoke to his replacement and the young sales rep seemed befuddled when I asked about the GT500. He stated, "well, you know...they're only making one thousand of those cars a year." At that, I bid him good day and my wife and I left.

I see alot of you post over in the Mustang Blue Oval Forums too. I have gotten some great information from both forums for what it is worth. Sure wish Bad Girl would have posted some pics of her car here. She must still be on the road? LOL Anyway, here is my news. A friend of mine works in the Shelby Plant in Flat Rock. I told him my car was scheduled for production on 032607 and he said he would watch for it. This morning I got the following email from him. " Your Car is scheduled to be built on 03-30-07. It will be held a couple of days in the Paint Shop for extra special inspection. Then a couple of more days because it has to be sent across to another building to have the stripes put on. One bad thing that I did hear is that It will be shipped by rail and there is a shortage of rail cars to send them on so I don't know how long that will take? I will try to keep you posted. It's kinda like having a baby, isn't it. LoL Pretty exciting!" I thought you all might enjoy this. I will post it in Blue Oval also since there has been some talk about the striping department behind about 200 cars. | I'm hoping the initial hype and whining over the release of the KR will subside so that I (we) can discover some useful information, such as price and how to secure an order. I suspect the Shelby upgrade package to a KR will be 15K at the very least. Who will be shipping the car to Vegas and then to the buyer, the Ford dealership or the private buyer? | |

Sorry to all Shelby owners, I got to ask our sales dealer what he thinks. I just bought a new 06 Ranger leftover (torch red- blah) FX4 Off Road 2 dr 4x4 automatic supercab, Sticker price $24,660. Paid $20,060. OK deal or did I get taken? Bickering with dealer over $100, but paid $20K premium last June for my Shelby, different dealership. Go figure. HA! HA!
