I am just guessing but am pretty sure that is one of those inventory sites that just lists every color/trim combo available, I don't think it's really inventory. No way do they have all those 2008 Maximas in stock!!!

April Rebate of $2500.00 by bpraxis

Hello everyone and I was thinking about purchasing a new Forrester until I saw a local dealer offering a $4000.00 discount on new 2009 Xteras.

That would compensate for the bad gas milage. I very much want to use the vehicle for off road.

I have not checked yet but the rebate may be contingent on financing through their company.

Has anyone done better than $4000.00? Any advice regarding negotiating?

  With appreciation and kind regards,

If you are interested primarily in off road driving -- go with the xterra. If you also want the flexibility of full time awd, the subaru is the best choice.

demo? by pondview

I was quoted $20,500 for a 08 SE demo with only 4,000 miles. I was told it was a loner car and the service manager is currently driving it. Should I stay clear...I'm concerned about it being "beat on"...but would that really be the case with someone getting a loner for a day or 2?

I was also quoted $26,200 for a 09 SE, $155 under invoice, but not the color I want. The 08 is dessert stone(the color I prefer) and can't be found anywhere in my area.

Is $5,700 difference for the 08 worth it?

I don't think the X is a vehicle that really encourages heavy flogging. That being said you need to find out what equipment it has and is it a 4x4 or 4x2. Then price up a new one and compare the prices. If it's a SE model that stickers for 25 grand, then no that's not a good price. If it's loaded and would normally sticker for 30 grand or more, than yes it's a very good price. Also, I think the 09 model has some new equipment standard that was previously optional, not sure exactly. Good luck! Also a good place to check the going market value is just by looking at carmax.com and see what a similar vehicle is selling for, since you know those are eventually selling prices at carmax. If you can get a few grand below carmax prices from a dealer than you're in pretty good shape.

New '09 off-road Xterras were quoted to me at 2000 under invoice, plus any and all stuff they can get you to accept like security, blings, etc. The $2,000.00 is Nissan's cash back deal.

Hey all,

I might be interested in an Xterra too, can someone help me out?

Requirements:
SE
Exterior Black with black or sandstone leather
4x4
X-Gear and Technology Package
Anything else is not needed but I don't mind having extras

Please let me know what I can expect to pay for this. Suggested Retail is $30,120 for the above but I know I can get it for a lot less. What is invoice for this one?

Would pay cash so do not need financing info.

Thanks and feel free to PM me.

It looks like invoice for SE, 4x4, Tech and XGear package is $28,400 invoice, before $2000 rebate. So yes, $26,355.

That still seems really high and only about $4k off since list is around $30k.

I read people were getting $10k off last year....

Anyone get something similar on 2009s yet? There has to be other incentives...Nissan reported sales were down 33% in May 2009.

I would probably pull the trigger if I can get it closer to $21k....that would be about 33% off.

Remember, you can now write-off the taxes too!

Only incentive I am aware of is the $2k..invoice is invoice...dealers aren't going to give them away.

I never look at it as how much off from MSRP..that is meaningless..it's how much above or below invoice that matters.
