This deal was only going on July/august 08. I f you missed it go to slickdeals.com and search Nissan. There had to be over 60 pages talking about the deals peeps got across the country.

2008 Used Xterra Purchase by jvost

Here's the deal I just made on a used Xterra S with 19,000 miles. It was a CPO vehicle from a Nissan dealer. The truck is absolutely pristine - looks like it just rolled of the showroom floor. I paid $17,099 out the door (plus sales tax). I paid cash.

Our market (Colorado) is flooded with 2008 Xterras from rental car fleets all with about the same mileage, so there's lots to choose from. I think $17,000 is in the range of the best price you can get, because I had to play four dealers off of each other before I could get one to sell at $17K. I had two others down to $17,500, but they just wouldn't budge - actually let me walk away knowing I had a deal at $17,099. This truck is CPO, so you might do just a bit better for a non CPO. Lastly, I think Xterras sell for a little more in Colorado than some other markets for obvious reasons. I saw some similar vehicles on Ebay Motors for $500 - $1000 less, but in places like south Florida.

Does anyone have some "insider" knowledge if Nissan will continue the current rebates on the 2009 Xterra or will they get better thru the summer? Has anyone tracked the history? Thanks, desperately looking for an Off Road Xterra but willing to wait.

Just a guess, I've got no insider information, but I think Nissan has cut way back on their production of trucks/SUVs. Future deals probably won't get much better simply because there's not much inventory anymore.

I agree with chukar1. In years past, Nissan boosted incentives in March, but not this year thus far.

what dealer has the lease returns????
there is one dealer with a ton of 2008's and 2009's - basically what ever choice you want on the 2008 auto/ manual 4X2 4X4 off-road/ rear wheel drive.... i would contact them and see if the 2008's will have any special insentives.. the numbers came out for 1'st quarter sales and they where horrible.. can they do a employee discount price?????

the dealers web-site is www.chandlernissan.com

I am just guessing but am pretty sure that is one of those inventory sites that just lists every color/trim combo available, I don't think it's really inventory. No way do they have all those 2008 Maximas in stock!!!

April Rebate of $2500.00 by bpraxis

Hello everyone and I was thinking about purchasing a new Forrester until I saw a local dealer offering a $4000.00 discount on new 2009 Xteras.

That would compensate for the bad gas milage. I very much want to use the vehicle for off road.

I have not checked yet but the rebate may be contingent on financing through their company.

Has anyone done better than $4000.00? Any advice regarding negotiating?

  With appreciation and kind regards,

If you are interested primarily in off road driving -- go with the xterra. If you also want the flexibility of full time awd, the subaru is the best choice.
